    Cool picture :)
Glad you had a good time!

I'm not a massive Wheelie fan, but like you I really like the look of this one. Certainly interested!

What a great night, PubeCon v2 was brilliant!

When I arrived I saw Dan doing his Swoop sketch for..well, Swoop, Stevil looking through the excellent sketches that Dan had brought along for gentle enabling and that excellent Optimus Prime reservation board on the table. Don't worry Dan, sorry I couldn't take Greatshot off you at PubeCon, I'll just have to grab it off you a little later. Your Mirage sketch needs to be uploaded here and into your thread, a thing of beauty. Best of luck with Fortis too, I cannot see anything topping that. You're absolutely right about that pop-up book too, has to be seen to be believed, what a lovely piece of work that is.

Thanks so much James for MTMTE vol 1 and MTMTE #24 (and the bag/board!), which I read and thoroughly enjoyed last night and again on the way to work today. As Dan said, and others have, definitely on board with Dark Cybertron now, and really loving Livio's Dead Universe artwork - especially Rodimus and Cyclonus. Those MTMTE trades are so lush, those covers and the extra stuff at the end, beautiful. Your sketches from the TF artists of the Pretenders were incredible, I can't forget that Alex Milne Thunderwing.

Great to meet Alex/kirk_a, and my apologies for the aggressive MP-11 enabling, but you were visibly crumbling before my eyes :lol  I'm confident had Morg brought up an opened one, it would have left with you last night. Speaking of enabling, it was hilarious how much money-changing and Paypalling was going on, Stevil was beautifully enabled on a KO Browning, Swoop on an MP Streak, Jason on a set of Amazon launchers. Santa Morg didn't doo to badly from PubeCon :lol

Morg, many thanks for the minibots, the little one's eyes were worth every penny when she got her Rook this morning (and also when my wife accidentally pulled the arm off). Ok she abandoned it after 30 seconds for a very attractive piece of fruit but she'll go back to it I'm sure! Thanks for coming all that way, with all that gear. We didn't really make it to Ed's or Nando's last night, a deserted Euston Station Burger King was the best we could do!

Ironic, first of all many congratulations again on your new role as Direcetor General, your Hot Rod is in the post! And congratulations to all of us for taking up so much space in the pub, 2 tables, a stack of chairs and more robots than has ever been recorded in a boozer. Dan's right, PubeCon will grow into a convention before long! Thanks Rich for sorting the table out for us, did anyone actually see Gavin last night?

Really can't wait for the next one in the new year, I suspect more non-Londoners will be drawn into the PubeCon gravity well.

    All the best
    Maz

I think we need to throw it open again to see who would like to attend.

I think it may be the New Year when we are all available though.

    Who's in for a Nott'm meet up?

Glad it went well, sorry I missed it.

This isn't the most ill I've ever been, but I'm struggling to remember when I'll felt worse. I would not have been able to make the journey.

Yeah I saw Gavin as I was at the pub pretty early. lovely guy. He was proudly showing off his USB Ravage (which is actually cooler than I imagined) professing his love of Alternators and overall being a top man. He loved the pop up book too. Think it blew his mind! Seemed very happy to have us in his pub which brilliant.

The enabling was massive, and great to see in full force. I think everyone who left with something will be chuffed to bit with what they picked up.

Really fun to do a bit more drawing in front of you guys, the great feedback was much appreciated.

Next PubeCon can't come soon enough!

The 20th is not a bad shout, though I guess it would be best to find a pub to steer clear of the busy crowd? Any pub suggestions?

I am pretty much easy for most nights now, even during the week :)

Either the 19th (for a weekday) or the 21st (for a weekend) would be better for me as I'm out on my works xmas meal on the 20th.

I have a mental image of members of the public leaving the pub with transformers they bought in their hands not quite knowing what happened.

    Cheers dude.

TBH, I like all the incarnations of Screamer/seekers and am lucky enough to have them all. (except the i-gear Acidstorm)

Prefer the colours to be close to the G1 cartoon/comic book, unlike TT MP03 but still like the toy released by Hasbro.

It was difficult not to crumble under the sheer weight of your enthusiasm and clear love MP-11. Am also pretty much sold on a KO Browning as well now

Yeah Gavin was a top bloke, and he did have the best reaction to the pop up book - which i think has to be the item of the evening!

like the fact that other meet ups are being planned around the country - think once a year or something there should be one giant "TFW UK thread" gathering somewhere

Anytime is good for me apart from tuesdays. Then when i get to play melting metal with high voltage/heat (which is a bad thing for a klutz like me).

21st seem like a good fit for most, although i'd ask for somewhere with good parking (joys of living in nowheresville or Heanor as the maps say)

ooo, starting to get AA withdrawal symptoms, so i'm all for that, plus get to see new cities. Didn't help i found some old pics i took during it, of the waltzing 'wave's and Twin twist and Top spin doing stuff..........

Agreed! Definitely hope they do this, the KFC tapes are fantastic but I somehow feel that a Takara would surpass them.

    Fantastic pic.

:)  Some beautiful enabling going on. It fair warms the heart. Glad you all had a good time.

    Ouch!

Maybe if the London meet continues to grow and swells north and our Leeds one grows and expands south, the Nottingham guys will eventually be able to have their pick of either. North or South? YOU DECIDE!

The car park on Parliment St is a good one and is also resonably priced (well, it was when the wife and I used it last).
