FT-01 as already said was a trailer for the first MP prime. It's basically an upscaled G1 trailer. It happened around early 2006.

I have one and it's great. Sometimes called the dilianj trailer.

FT-02 was going to be the soundwave but of course was binned.

How is the pop up book? Is it worth the £20 amazon are asking for it?

 

As I continue on my quest to transform my many untransformed transformers, I have MP Soundwaves box in my hands ready to open. Now I remember people saying about Lazerbeaks wings breaking?

Anyone know of this ? I'd rather not snap my birdies wings on first transform.

 

It's not the wing that you need to watch for - it's the fins on top of his engine blocks - if they're stiff just make sure you put any pressure on them right at the bottom by the hinge not at the tip.

 

The pop up book is really cool actually. I should remember to get it. Well worth the 15 quid it will cost me from work. As a TF fan I'd say it's worth the full price. It's really impressive in places.

If you gradually work the fins, they do move into place but it does feel like too much pressure and they are done for.

 

Yes, it's amazing in places, I'll take some pics later today. It's got one massive scene per page, surrounded by a few smaller pop up scenes per page. There's a healthy mix of variety as well, there's a massive planet scene, there's one explaining the differences between Cybertron/Earth alt mode.

Most impressively virtually every popup can transform, open the book, they pop up, pull the tab and the whole thing transforms. It's kind of rediculous actually. The only one that doesn't transform is Soundwave, his chest pops open and Ravage pops out. I'm not kidding.

The only detractions are... there are fewer pages in this book than in the authors other pop up books (I have his Star Wars pop up book too) but I suspect that's because the pages are much thicker and more complex. Also the engineering is almost too intricate, you have to be very careful with all the larger pop up scenes as they are quite fragile.

But yeah, impressive, most impressive.

Actually goldbug is the other one im after but i cant justify £60 when i only want half the figures. THinking i may have to get a credit card and go BBTS POL with them unless they do get leaked on ebay etc.

Anyone recommend a %0 apr credit card that I can preferabbly set to pay off as soon as any money gets spent on it, or that I can pay online.

Expect a flood of crappy pics of shop-bought, non-MP deluxes and voyagers soon enough.

 

It's £16 per figure is how I'm looking at it. For me the two figures I really want are Skids and Waspinator and since Waspinator is £18 normally I may as well cancel that order and Gauntlet then I'm only £17 extra to get all 4.

BTW, the shapeways order has shipped and tracking from UPS says to expect it all tomorrow.

I bank with Halifax and as a customer I use their credit card system, payment is all done online so I buy stuff on it then as long as I pay it off by the deadline date there is no extra charge.

 

Think I'm going to go with Halifax actually as their 0% offer is one of the longest (its getting cut up after that) thing is I want goldbug and skids and you couldn't give me waspy and dreadwing for free as I really have no interest so I ain't paying £30 a figure. Only way id buy the set is if somebody wanted to split it.

Also when those legends tailgate and swerve are out I'm reckoning they will be $22 for each pair from bbts whih is much more pallatable than £30 for a pair.

Also starting a bbts POL I reckon will be the cheapest way to get the club fissitron seen as gauntlet isn't happening.

Now I just need to track down a botcon pyro and foc impactor and sort out a commison to turn my spare tomohawk into rotorstorm
