Yep, i think there awesome,
Judging from just pics i was gutted they were small as i thought the masterpiece cassettes in bot/beast mode should be bigger,
But after seeing the video review Im now happy with them,
I guess ravaged is gonna be small as he's based off of a jaguar and should evoke the size more appropriately,
I think rumb/frenz is twice the height of mp10's spike figure, which kind of seems right.

Smokescreen was my first ever figure back in September 85 from woolies,
I remember the week before they had prowl, jazz and stuff, but had to wait till pocket money funds were are 7.99
So a week later all that was left was smokscreen,
He holds that special place as my first and its gonna be hard not to buy him, and even harder when pics of him in glorious colour are shown,
But must stay strong with season one only,
Which is why Im favouring prowl and streak,
Prowl is available for pre-order on kapow,

 

I just found flaps on the back of MP10's elbows for alt mode, a part of the transformation I had completely missed. I like discovering tidbits like this! All part of the fun of not using instructions.

That won't work on me   In a dream world where money and space were plentiful I'd probably go S2 full on, but as is the cost, space, and logic that the characters of season 2 didn't mean much to me helps me stay focused. Besides Superion, Blaster and Perceptor of course. I loved those guys in the cartoon, so I'll make special exception for them. I've also managed to convince myself that I don't need this new generations Springer too, no matter how good he looks, as I'll be getting rid of my S3 Classics. The Aerialbots can have their shelf to stand on.

But yeah, a bit of a devil   It's undeniable that they look great and I'm sure we'd all love to own the lot, but some can some can't. Much like Springer- I'll enjoy him through pictures.

That's a garage kit radicon Wheeljack is working on with the help of destrongerlupus. It's still in the design phase right now but you can read about his progress in the thread over in radicons. Dunno when it'll be done and available for purchase yet, but I imagine probably sometime around the Summer, at a guess.

Think I'll have to pick meself up a set for Grapple/Hauler now, it looks good enough that I wanna hold onto the guy!

with the anticipation on mp prowl if he is nailed on perfect, and the paint etc is on the money with the other 2, it'l be myself and I reckon many others who will fold like a house of cards for all 3 of the datsuns.The more I think about it, I'd happily do it as long as the extra money is funding either a V2 mold for megatron, or galvatron.

 

Screw those guys, gimme Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Jazz, Mirage and Hound already!

I'm really stoked for MP Prowl! I'm very very interested in how they're going to avoid giving him massive clog feet though. Here's hoping, though i wasn't wanting to break my mp car abstention so soon, damn you Takara messing around in my brain.

Tikgnat - The skywarp wave has been knocking around for about a month now, and in case you missed it, the new 3 packs, with the flip and jump shots, are in Asda now, i picked up both sets from Asda Watford on Saturday and they had plenty.

 

Cool. I really hope the shoulder missiles are an add-on, a la lambor. Still not Placed a pre-order, I guess I should get on it soon.

 

The launchers are probably gonna be like Lambor's yeah, but I kinda hope they're like U2.0 Prowl's. That's one thing that mold did right; fold-away launchers.

I'm wondering how they'll tackle the shoulder wheels; Bluestreak doesn't have them and Smokescreen's are on the top of the shoulder. I imagine the latter will just be tooled so they transform that way, but for Bluey's sake I kinda hope they're also stowable in the chest ala Sideswipe's.


I'm just waiting for the asian retailers to get their pages up, then it's on like Donkey Kong.

 

Looking at that pic, it really makes me wish they made an alternators Prowl from the Impreza mould. Cop car impreza? Yes please. The official alts prowl left me a bit cold.

That reminds me, I appear to have lost my beloved alts smokescreen. Urk. I hope it's in one of the boxes I put in my mum's loft.

 

There were some customs done using the Binaltech Asterisk Red Alert figure and Prowl head, looked pretty good. Looking back now, I don't hold the same love I once did for the Subaru (or any of them for that matter) mold.

 

Hoping there's one this weekend. I've got MP01 & BC12 sets to shift.
Unless anyone in here is wanting them.

The only version of that mold I have is the Artfire. Really wish they had used Infernos' ladder for it though, but other wise it's a great figure.

I used to love my Subaru Prowl, really chunky but it's put to shame with this.

 

Prowl is looking mighty fine...

 

BT/Alt Prowl is a good toy, knee articulation be damned. I think it's biggest issue is that the Subaru mold exists and was Smokescreen and more importantly, Silverstreak, so Prowl being anything else would always be a bit strange, no matter how good the Acura could have been.
Having said that i've never held the Subaru mold in the same kind of reverence as alot of other bt fans. The RX8 will forever be the pinnacle of the line for me, which does make me wonder how a speculative MP Jazz could possibly better it ( other than looking like G1 Jazz) Tho arn't Porshe now very flakey on using their license?
