I'll pre-order prowl when we see an actual picture.

No question I'll get him, but if I set myself a barrier it means i don't feel pressured to pre-order him right away and spend all my money at once.

Talking of spending lots of money at once, Code arrived from Chimchiminey. He's real pretty. Bring on Weirdwolf and Brainstorm!

 

I'll probably struggle to raise the funds for one of them, never mind both!

I'd say Prowl is the more iconic character and I would bet he would have his proper deco, as for Smokescreen I've never owned him but wasn't a lot of his deco official and all that so who knows if they can get it right, hopefully I can get the funds to get all 3 but out of all of them I only ever owned Bluestreak, I can even remember going to the shop with my pocket money and buying him, it was from a Jolly Giant if any one remembers that toy store.

Looking forward to an official reveal of Prowl. I to am not sure if I want Prowl or Smokescreen. I have the alternator Subby smokescreen which is one of my favorite bots. I still want Soundwave but I will be waiting for the hasbro version.

If it's £100 with 5 tapes then that's a steal. After getting the hasbro version of MP Prime I have no worries about looking rubbish compared to the takara version. I'm still blown away by MP Prime. I can't imagine anything bar MP figures coming out and blowing it out the water.

 

Prowl is certainly the more prolific character. I didn't know that the deco was licenced for Smokescreen. Was it similar to Wheeljack?

My Smokescreen came from a car boot for 50p. I still remember when I picked him up. A group of student types had a few bits laid on a blanket. He hasn't got his shins/rear windscreen and up until recently hadn't got any accessories.

I'm sure he'll look great next to his MP counterpart though.

Spoken like a true plastic addict! Course if you get two its not much of a stretch to get Bluestreak as well.  

Result. MP Sideswipe is a pure nostalgia trip - gorgeous in either mode, enjoy!

Edit: Twinkies? Always think of Die Hard when they are mentioned, never tried one but the big cop in the film lives off them.....

I do wonder. I mean, Henkei Smokescreen uses the correct deco, I don't think they licensed that did they? I dunno where they stand on this official racer colouration stuff. AFAIK Smokescreen, Mirage, Wheeljack and possibly Jazz use real world racer colourations. Not so sure about Jazz.

ANYWAY. OMFG that silhouette looks fantastic. Prowl's gonna be so freakin' awesome, just waiting for preorders to go up so I can throw my money at the monitor. Can't wait for proper colour pictures, and ones of Bluey too. Sideswipe and Prime are wicked, but this is the one that I've been waiting for.

Depends on the sponsors and the cost to TT but I'd be happy with just the colours and sort the rest out with reprolabels.

Loving your enthusiasm for this mold - you've hit the nail on the head.   Although I feel that way about all the other Autobot cars too. The stance is spot on, the feet are perfect, they are huge but that is exactly as they should be. Very happy and we've not even seen the full reveal yet.

 

No, he didn't. He thought the job would be his after Optimus Primes dies after unleashing the Matrix against Unicron, but Prime gave the job to Grimlock instead.

Prowl then basically rides Grimlock all the time about how he would be doing things differently, or how Grimlock should be setting a better example, basically telling him what a crap job he's doing. When the Decepticons inevitably betray the Autobots, Prowls attitude and tolerance toward the Decepticons would have left the Autobots high and dry and if not for Grimlocks paranoia and forward thinking they would have been stranded on a dying planet.

Grimlock subsequently shows what a crap leader he was in the final issue of the G1 run by falling into a trap and getting EVERYONE killed. Whups. The irony is if the Autobots remained stranded on Cybertron Hi-Q/Optimus would still have revived the Last Autobot and saved Cybertron anyway.

 

I'm even considering Smokescreen now.

What cars are season 2? Off the top of my head:

Smokescreen
Tracks
Skids

So if I got Smokey I'd just need Hoist, Tracks and Skids. Slippery bloody slope.......as TFC Superion and any future Defensor then becomes game on.
