I was thinking exactly the same today myself. Post lockdown(s), Smyths really seem to have upped their game, and it was a pleasure to see a wealth of things I was interested in on the shelves. I nabbed these bad (batch) boys -

 

I've resisted buying the books because I think I have them as a cheeky download...

Yeah, I was saying that last year, I'd noticed it too. Same at Tesco even.

 

So my ongoing issue with luna park had them somehow 'locate' a single set left in their inventory and while they make out like they have done me a service, I had to literally badger them again to actually get them to do anything with this magically found set. I can only imagine it was packed while the luna park bosses muttered the loss of that sweet ebay scalper monies.

Not long after asking for an update was I given a stern dressing down to quote them in their reply 'calm down, it is not the end of the world' was what I received lol, honestly the testicles on this company are mahoosive. Getting pissy because a customer they lied to on several occasions isn't happy with their self-titled beautiful service.

The worst thing is, I probably got a set that wasn't even mine in the pre-order pecking order. Getting the set wasn't the real issue as I would have been happy to wait if they weren't scalping the hell out of sets and ignoring already prepaid customers.

 

As an 80's Commodore 64 owner I had one of these for... er... reasons.

So yeah, it's great that cinemas are reopening here soon. Will hopefully go and see Mortal Kombat, although it's a shame that my local Omniplex has been continuously closed since the March 2020 Lockdown, with no signs of reopening.

 

I don’t think the Midas armour was even rumoured.

Mark III ordered, but £50 for a better Rescue? FFS!!! (Yes, I’ve ordered it as well.)

I missed out on Rescue the first time round, so I'm in for the two pack with Captain Marvel.

No one else seems to have it up for pre-order, so I guess it's a Pulse exclusive?
