What is going on with amazon and import fees. It used to be an item was under £15, no import fees.

Now there are import fees on everything, regardless of price!

I have my suspicions that Big Evil may have done a Footstamp of the Walmart variety, and pressured Hasbro to embargo the etailers' street date (hence the November release date on RK, etc.) for a two month exclusive sales run. Just a theory, of course.

How close to £15 is the item, they might be taking a precaution about any exchange rate shift? If it's well under, I dunno. I have had at least one Amazon purchase refund for Import fees, I got £11 quid back from the fee amount for CW Devastator, so don't ask me how the frig that worked but good luck slipping under that bar!

 

Second updoot: Email not received, will be nagging them more tomorrow.

Unfortunately I also got booted form the new job for not being fast enough (Barely any warning either, that's Zero-hour contracts for you), so Saturday is not robots day. Will probably pop out at some point next week when no-one's home to judge me for spending a little cash while on Universal Credit.
