What are some of your best finds from either Thrift Stores or Yard sales? I have been going to Thrift Stores a lot lately and I just got a complete Beast Machines Primal Prime(its just missing one panel and I think a missile? Unless he just comes with 3) with his manuel and twist ties for some reason. All for $9.99. What are your best finds?

I once got a loose no-parts Soundwave with decent stickers and good joints for $2 at a Red, White & Blue thrift-shop.

I got to go to yard sales more......I only saw one Transformer at a yard sale once and that was a headless Transmetals Rampage. Then something weird happened a few days later I went to the Thrift Store to find a headless Beats Wars Megatron then A month later I saw a headless Movie Voyager Megatron at Value Village!

I found a few Primal Rage toys at a yard sale once. Never any transformers, though.

Lets see I've got all of the following at Car Boot sales previously :

    Knight Morpher Commander (Boxed)
    Alternity Starscream (Boxed)
    Alternity Ultra Magnus (Boxed)
Encore Cassettes (Rumble/Frenzy/Laserbeak & Overkill) (Boxed)
    Encore Meister (Boxed never opened)
    Encore Trailbreaker (Boxed never opened)

They were not carboot cheap but I'm guessing I save a bit on the casettes and most of the rest were a lot less than Half price (depending on what you think they cost)

And one of my Fav Off topic finds would be a Kenner Arachnid Alien (red and black version) and the 5" scale Batman Begins Batmobile (tumbler) in brillant condition for 0.50p even had a 5" Batman figure in it.

I'm always happy when I come home with Robot Heroes & legends & Jp Dinos for pennies too.
I don't see so many Aliens any more though.

It really warped my mind to find a KMC at a Car Boot sale. Now to find that unloved Movie Supreme Devastator this season :)

I did see a complete (6 parts of it anyway no green helicopter bit) Ninja Storm Megazord including the beetles and the guy who changed into a new head and all the accessories for £10.00 once too. but I'd spent out by the time I saw it. that is one huge lump of plastic and metal and weighs a tone - must have cost best part of £100.00 new.

There was an old couple moving to Florida and cleaning out there basement. They used to buy a ton of toys and give to the kids when they did something good. I found 8 Star Wars figures from Empire Strikes Back ('83) in damn near mint condition. She wanted $2 a piece, but I got her down to $10 total. $800 dollars later on eBay and I was a happy guy. It helped pay for our wedding which was a few months out. I even sold 2 of the same Boba Fett figures to a guy in England. One for $250, and the other for $225.

C8-ish Grimlock with no accessories and a mint G2 Megatron (practically fresh out of the box) at a yard sale for a buck. And why does a new thread like this pop up at least once a week?

I have had extremely bad luck, it would appear.

The best thing I found was a headless BW Cheetor. I don't care for Cheetor, nor his toy.

No good finds personally, but a fellow Swedish collector found and bought a MiSB European G1 Overlord at a flea market a few years back. Price? $8...

Back in the late 90's when I was trying to require my G1 collection I scored the ultimate Thrift store purchase, or my Mom did at least. Knowing I was looking for specific older figures she happened by the grab bag of mix toys at a local thrift store and found a COMPLETE G1 Megatron in a tattered but very nice original box. All for the low, low price of $8.00. Best under ten dollar gift ever!
