Awesome thank for heads up. I had every intention of skipping the dumbed down Hasbro Devy release and going for the superior Takara version but at $99.99 shipped I can't say no. I can get a 3P upgrade for it and still be under Takara's price tag and be a happy man! Bawt!!!

 

No Problem, I was in the same boat but at $99 even if you add the Perfect Effect $30 elbows and gun set and reprolables set you still way below the takara UW version. I did not count the the other PE set since you still need it with the Takara version anyway.

 

Fo sho. This is an instabuy no-brainier. I was so pissed I missed out last time.

 

Was holding out for the Takara version of Devs to display as individual bots (sadly passed on the Walmart Canada sale on the Hasbro version too), with 3 left, I decided to jump on one too. $130+ a little for shipping for a few elbows, doesn't make sense for my collection at this point in time.

 

In for Blaster/Perceptor. I would have never dreamed my son would get brand new G1 figures, but at this price he is gonna party like it's 1985.

 

It's a really good set for the price. I could never pull the trigger at the $100 they were in stores, but I got it at a con for $60 MISB, and was plenty happy. Blaster feels like the plastic is a bit thin, but he's been fine, even when my 3 year old gets a hold of him, which happens frequently.

There's quite a lot in the set.

 

My set feels kind of fragile. I'm surprised your kid could handle it without snapping something. Is it my bad memory or were 85 toys a bit sturdier than this?  
For example, I popped off Perceptor's chest piece while trying to pull the two pieces down, and I freaked out in fear it had snapped - the plastic is pretty thin. Luckily, no break, but I'd be wary of giving this one to your preschoolers.  

 

As a kid I played with and broke both my original Perceptor and Blaster, so I don't believe these reissues are really any more or less fragile than the originals used to be.

 

Gaddamnit. Twice I missed the $99 Devastator...

 

I follow the store so If I notice that they get more I post it again.

 

Do you know if they've had other transformers outside of the most recent 2?
