You're not understanding the post. It's not about Rescue Bots, but specifically these two toys.

Medix and Hoist were scarcely seen during the original release of Rescue Bots. Go look on eBay at much they had sold for, and 3rd party sellers had been selling these two for $50+.

These were/are rare figures. So seeing them online for retail is quite the surprise.

I found these 2 at Kmart years ago. Yes these are rare. I was going to list mine after seeing the sold prices but then all of a sudden a whole bunch appeared on ebay for cheap prices:(  Mine come with the free DVD which is different than the Amazon pic.

    :lol  :lol  :lol
Thanks, Omega! :D  Exactly what I meant. I'd be more into these, but... kids already have lots of TFs, so they seem less relevant now. Especially with some of the 1-steps being better (they make the Rescue Bots toys feel kind of clunky, by comparison). That, and the fact that these two don't make cartoon appearances? No synergy = no buy for me! :rolleyes2

I think the new R.I.D. cartoon will be a hit with the kids. The bright colors and Prime-y design don't seem like a bad thing. My son will dig it.

    Cool, glad to help! :D

I was gonna say that these listings have to be real, cause the Tow Truck bot is a lightning deal tomorrow at 10 AM CST! Might have to check that out... if it's sub-$10, I might be interested. :D

EDIT: And Medix is up at 11 AM!  (How and why are these being sold again?!? :lol  Amazon exclusive, due to overstock in China?)

EDIT2: I guess it's Hasbro's day on Amazon, cause a bunch of the lightning deals are Hasbro products. Nothing Generations or Movie (sadly), but if you're interested in Kreo combiners, Rescue Bots, or Potato heads... ;)

HLJ has MP 22 Ultra Magnus in stock for about $120 and about $30 for express shipping to the US. $150 shipped is the cheapest I have seen it anywhere. You could get it cheaper if you choose to ship it slower, but it's Christmas so I went for the express.

I have ordered from them before and there weren't any extra charges.
This is from the HLJ Help page.
"To USA Customers: Please note that there are no taxes, duties or tariffs on the import of hobby products or toys into the United States. You will not pay any extra to buy from us. "

    Ebay:
Like most online stores. If you're buying in-stock items, you order the items, and they barge your paypal/credit card (however you hose to pay with them). If the items aren't in stock yet, you'll pay once for the items, and then pay the shipping later once the items are in stock.

MP-22 is already gone through HLJ, and they removed the MP-23 listing - it was already sold out when Marlboro "asked" them not to promote any more NEW sales. It is still for me pending as an open order. Someone posted a notice from HLJ stating the above in the MP thread.

It was there. I didn't post this morning. I posted last night. I got a shipping notice for the MP 22 I preordered and they still had some more available for purchase last night. It must be sold out already.
