I placed an order with Megalopolis on Nov 29th that still hasn't been processed. Just FYI for anyone thinking of ordering.

 

Where is the transcript of this call? Tariffs are a variable cost, not fixed (note: they likely wouldn’t be included in EBIT calculations, though) and wouldn’t effect inventories in this way.

Additionally, it is only a fear of tariffs impacting the market currently. I am not aware of any actual tariffs in effect. And honestly, I don’t think toy retailers/manufacturers are as afraid as they lead on to be. The likelihood of tariffs on toys for the holiday season is laughable. I’d be shocked if they went into effect. It would be political suicide.

 

Comments on the tariffs were more general as it pertains to the industry, not about Transformers. In fact, the tariffs should have little impact on the TF line as they are currently being made in Vietnam.

This has been going on for a while now. It's a targeted coupon that not everyone gets. I don't have it.  

 

Don't do it people. Nothing but bad experiences with this shop.

 

That's an exaggeration. I'm not going to dispute that some people may have had problems, but I ordered early Black Friday. Everything shipped out that day and arrived 3 days later.

 

I placed my order at 12:44am on Black Friday and it didn’t even get charged or processed. I was able to cancel my order, though.

 

I can also attest to this, I ordered on Cyber Monday and received my shipping confirmation last Friday. I've also ordered several times from them in the past and have had a great experience. The only time there was an issue (and this slowed the shipping quite a bit) was when I ordered something, it went out of stock after I ordered and paid. It was a discounted item that was already discounted, and they gave me store credit for the full price!

 

I ordered for the first time with Megalopolis Toys on Black Friday because they had a deal I couldn't refuse. I got my order yesterday on a Sunday delivery. I would probably order from them again if they dish out deals I can't say no to, and assuming they got their act together since the Great 2018 Megalopolis Black Friday debacle.  

Otherwise I'm a BBTS, EE, Amazon kinda guy and don't stray too far from my comfort zone.

 

That's great news. I got scared-off after their conduct last BF. Well, I guess I will take back my statement if they are doing well again.

 

I don’t know what happened with my order then. I got an email confirmation and everything. Nothing ever got shipped. I was able to get Omega Supreme from Amazon for less, though, so it all worked out.

 

Same did you cancel the order? If so how did you do it?

 

I just emailed their support with my order number and info.

Nice! I was going for the Castle Grayskull Set. Added it to my cart, dicked around, and it sold out. Oh well, must've not had a ton.
