Hello all... I am seriously thinking about selling a large part, if not all, of my collection to TFsource. But first, I want to hear from people who have done this before, particularly concerning how their experience went down, if they got a better price than ebay or vice versa, who pays for shipping, and whether you get more bang for your buck if you just get store credit. Also, if you had a better experience selling to BBTS or some other company, be sure to drop by and put in your two cents.:2c:

I've sold lots to BBTS. They always offer a fair price and are excellent to work with.

In the past, I've sold to BBTS, but now they only take MISB/MIB stuff(unless it's g1/g2). I've got a lot of energon/armarda/bw/etc that i'm trying to sell, and I sent a list off to Tfsource, but have yet to hear back.

BBTS will take just about anything these days. I think they finally realized there's more to collecting than MIB/MISB.

I offered a lot to BBTS and TFSource. BBTS's offer was within $15 of my asking price, TFSource offered a whopping 1/3 of what I was looking for. Who do you think I sold to?

I dunno, I sent my list to BBTS on Thursday, and they replied saying they won't take loose stuff.

That's odd. I've sold tons of loose stuff to them. My account was just credited for a box with contained a few loose Transformers I shipped last week.

What exactly are the loose items they wouldn't take?

BBTS has always been great to me when I sold toys to them. I've never had reason to go elsewhere.

I've tried selling to TFsource, but I never received a response back from them, but BBTS sent me an offer within a day. I was even able to haggle a bit.

I've sold loose stuff to them too, in the past. It was about 36 figures, made up of Energon, Beast Machines, Beast Wars, g2, and a few movie figures. They said they would take the g2 figures, not the rest as it was loose, and that they are only taking MISB/MIB/MOSC from those lines.

So I dunno. Maybe they just didn't want the rest, or maybe they're full on loose stuff for now. :D

You may be right, but it just seems weird. I mean older Transformers seem like great sellers for them, most of their listing stay sold out or at low numbers. I would have thought they would have offered something for them.

I remember them turning down some loose Marvel Legends I offered a couple years ago, but I thought they always took loose, complete Transformers.

Maybe they already had too many loose figures from the other lines.

If they buy your stuff, and sell it for more, do they give you the difference back? Or is it all profit for them?

Of course they're going to sell your stuff for more than they bought it for, and of course they're going to keep that profit. Otherwise, what would be the point in them buying your stuff?

I just checked the BBTS policy page for what they buy, and it looks like they will only take rare or valuable loose toys after G2. Could "valuable" include toys that are mint complete?

Yes of coarse there's a profit. I was just wondering how much of a profit they'll make from you selling your stuff to them. You should get a fair share too.

I got a whole lot of MISB toys from A/E/C that I want to sell. I may contact BBTS and TFSource to see which one gives me a better deal. Do they pay in check or only gives you store credits?

The only way to get a share of the profit is to pay someone to sell an item for you. They are a business and once they pay for the item they can sell it for as low or as high as they want and that money is their money. Personally if a person wants a higher "profit" they should try to sell their item for more money.

If u sell to a dealer they will want to unpay so they can make money when they resell. But if u sell on ebay or even here u got to deal will the die bet buyers, or the ones that want you to hold it for ever and will give u a reason ever week why they cannt pay. Either way you take you risk

Is it really a risk selling here? You can have a no hold policy here... to me it just takes a lot more time to sell compared to unloading a collection to a dealer. But the profit is higher.
