It annoys me so much, people keep swearing up and down he fits in perfectly, he does NOT! i mean come on, the head is clearly movie design, he has movie style legs and hands.....the only body part that could POSSIBLY fit in with classics is his chest.....why do people close their eyes to the truth just because they want a seaspray for their classics collection, hell, breaker (that is his name right?), the clearly movie design scout design to be partnered with him is just the final nail in the coffin that seaspray is a movie figure

ugh just a huge pet peeve of mine, cause i see these people post "look at my chug collection hurr durr" and i see the movie figure stick out like a sore thumb

i'm just heavily OCD when it comes to things like this, i just can't stand when people keep saying something that is truely wrong, like how the TF:p rime toy line is not being made even when hasbro said it is being worked on and one of the panel members said bulkhead was turning out great!

Take a deep breath dude! :lol

I agree though. I don't count Sea Spray as a Classics figure. It's the chicken legs that prevent me from doing so.

The hands I could live with since Classics Ironhide and Ratchet don't have the classics closed fists like the rest of the Classics do.

I also wanted to count the Chey Aveo as Classics but there were too many aesthetics that prevented me from doing so.

Only recent thing that I counted as Classics was Drift and the new Thrust.

I don't even count the WFC stuff amongst my Classics.

People can have different opinions. To be honest, what difference does it make though?

I agree, I don't think he fits in with Classics figures either, I don't even think Bludgeon fits in that well myself. It seems so many fans are craving for new Classics figures that any new figure coming out that bares so similarities will instantly be considered a Classics figure for someone.

But hey people can do whatever they want with their collections so if they want HTFD Seaspray as Classics Seaspray they can have it that way

i agree on the hands, they are acceptable for classics, it is just so much other design parts just don't mesh lol it just gotten annoying i wanted to vent haha every other post i see basically recently since that toy was announced was "OMG PERFECT CLASSICS SEASPRAY" and it is just so annoying cause that is wrong, and it confuses new members into believing wrong crap

for me I am not sure where to put him as he feels to me that he is equal parts of both so he is byself at the moment.

People have different opinions. Like i cant stand calling them c.h.u.g. but i know people get annoyed if i call them universe or classics only lol.

Thank you for your thoughts, guard.

I will consider your points when Sea Spray is no longer on my "No further than three feet from me" section.

He fits in "my" C.H.U.G. collection just fine. Do wish he had a more G1 color scheme.

If Henkei returns, I have no doubt they'll do a more blue, cartoony Seaspray, hopefully without the S. P. Ray name tag.

I don't see what's so movie-like about his head. It's not like he has a skeletal face hiding behind that visor of his.

As for me, I don't give two shits about the "CHUG" fascination or anything else. My collection's already going to be a mixture of Classic-style and NEST/HFTD figures, I've decided, so Sea Spray's categorization is an entirely moot point. I'll have him fight my Botcon Double Punch whenever the hell I feel like it.

I honestly don't understand how he DOESN'T for you. Seriously? You can't look at some movie figures and look at Seapray and see a disctint difference in design???

But whatever... keep hoping for another homage buddy.

Lemme guess. You didn't like Powerglide either?

    edit:
    This.

No. Just stating my opinion. This isn't really a topic to get all worked up about.
