So, to get the most use of the mold, Hasbro might repaint (or give a new head) the new Generations Drift toy into someone else, any ideas? I was thinking Blurr myself (preferrably with a new head, but I could see a straight repaint too)

Give him a resculpted head, and replace his third sword with a big honkin' handgun (that can likewise mount on his back for storage) and I would buy that up in a heartbeat!
They could always just repaint it with various arty decos since it's a japanese street racing car and that's exactly what they do with them.
I would greatly prefer Blurr to receive a new mold, since he is one of the more important G1 characters - a regular member of the Season 3 cast. Drift can be repainted into an obscure character, like the above mentioned Boss - or one of the various race car micromasters - or one of the Action Masters (Axer? Kick Off?)
actually that repaint makes ALOT of sense to me as well. their designs in the comics are very similar to begin with and the Drift mold has that apperance of speed to the way he stands and definitely looks alot like Blur
Drift would make for an excellent Rodimus, provided that you give him a new head and swap out the swords for two pistols and a sniper rifle.
