Leader class Blackout, Grindor, and (to a lesser extent) Bumblebee are all ideas floated by fans - nothing more. The only things we can conclusively say are coming are Leader Starscream and a repainted Leader Prime (because there's always one).
Everything outside of that is just people making crap up. Quote: |

But addressing your original post, rumors are fun but unless something posted by Hasbro or a test shot is seen from overseas I typically take everything I read online with a heaping bowl of salt. |

Assuming that fans and collectors are 20% of the Transformers market, what prevents Hasbro from creating and selling limited edition molds/super-accurate repaints?
I mean, let's say Hasbro says "We're want to release Leader-Class Blackout/Grindor. It'll be an online-only exclusive, and cost $50-$75. Before we make it, we need a minimum of X numbers of preorders, where X is the amount it takes for them to break even." It's how most of the small, specialty manufacturers did it, and Hasbro has done it before (the Cloverfield monster). They don't need to make packaging for it and can ship it in a brown cardboard box (like the scale Balrog from NECA), charge more for it because it's a "limited edition", and ensure that they'll sell out of almost everything they make.
Moreover, who here wouldn't pay an extra $10 for a super-accurate Leader Prime repaint? I'd be all over that.
Just a thought. |

The only example I can think of where a mold was created and then used ONLY for exclusive pruposes (no mass retail release) is the Aveo Swerve... and that was commissioned and paid for by a major auto maker.
While I do think Hasbro could (and should) provide at least a few HTS exclusive repaints during every line, the chances of an all new mold (particularly a large leader class) being created as an exclusive is close to, if not entirely impossible. Quote: |

I'm not even planning to pay full price for Leader Prime, I'm sure as hell not paying extra.
Incidentally, if there is another Leader coming, my money's on it being a Prime repaint. Black, blue, some sort of desert camo, whatever. I guess Prime molds sell.
