Which Masterpiece Prime is better? |

It's between the 20 Anniversary or the 20th Anniversary DVD editions. Im looking to invest in one and i would like to know which one is better. What are the differences between them besides the fact that one comes with a dvd, and that their guns are different colors. |

#6 | | Well, that's just Prime! Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 511 | MP-04 is the best cause it comes with the trailer, but MP-01 will do the trick too if you don't want/need the trailer.
Of the American releases, I would go with the original 20th Ann. release. As stated above, the colors and paint apps on the DVD release are kinda wonky. Also the display base looks kinda cool, but doesn't really add much, and the voice in the voice clips isn't even Peter Cullen.
So yeah, 20th Ann. release is the way to go if you can't find for can't afford the Takara releases.

BTW, are there QC issues and differences between the MP-04 and MP-01 bots or are they more or less identical?

MY only complaints would be the price, no Roller, and a grey gun. You get a metal MP prime with no battle damage and long smoke stacks, plus a scaled trailer that has a lot of detail. Also you can stack a G1 prime w/ trailer on top of the mp trailer, then ths covoy w/ trailer on top of that, and finally wst prime w/ trailer on top of that. Truly and epic, and expensive, pile of primes to behold. | |
