I wonder, back in the day, if the new-character Action Masters were outsold by the characters reused from earlier in G1? I'd assume so but it would be cool to know for sure. Their secondary values really don't indicate that one way or the other.

Yeah, I'll throw deluxe Energon Prime in the mix as well as another earlier example of crossing size classes.

Starting with TF1, it was a free-for-all... you could purchase all the main characters in AT LEAST two size classes, sometimes half a dozen or more. And they sold like mad.

Hasbro wins at marketing toys.

seth: Don't you feel like it takes away from the authenticity of your collection?
ams: Dude, you own three different unlicensed City Commander toys and a half dozen fake third-party Prime trailers. WTH?

I really wish we'd get deluxe versions of leaders more often. would have loved a deluxe armada megatron to go with the deluxe prime. or a deluxe cybertron prime and megatron based on their vehicle modes, rather than the beast wars molds.

animated gave us a deluxe megatron, but he was a floppy piece of shit.

Oh, come on - it can't be that bad. Supreme Rollout Command Optimus Prime is a crappy toy, but nowhere close to abysmal as Ultimate Bumblebee and Supreme Cheetor.

I think Hasbro should stop making Optimus Prime all together and start a new toyline with Rodimus Prime as their new leader.
