And a few SWTFs. | Quite a few of these "European Exclusives" also made it to Canada and Australia as well, but agreed on the "secret years" part. Generation 2 in Europe has loads of packaging variations too - different names for some toys, with unique bios, altered paint jobs, generally a bigger, more complete line all around. Quote: |

I like this era a lot, though. The Actionmaster Elites, the Motorvators, Lightformers, Predators, Turbomasters, Obliterators, Stormtroopers, Trakkons... it's like a secret line of TFs that only a few people know about. Outside of the large collecton I picked up a while back, I had to separately track down the Rescue Force, the unusual yellow and grey Constructicons, and the color variants on the various cars (Aquafend, Jetstorm, etc...). The Generations book from 2001 is REALLY helpful in learning about these guys.
Outside of this era, I believe the only other items in TF lore that can truly be called "European exclusives" are the two "Transmetal" Beast Wars repaints (Claw Jaw and Spittor) and Botcon Europe Rook. I would have included the recent Chevy Aveo on there as well, but it just saw limited release here in North America. If anyone can correct any of those assumptions, I'd appreciate it. | People like you make me regret so much not having started collecting sooner... I'm aiming for the full G1 and G2 collections and the current prices of the Japanese and European G1 exclusives are killing my bank account . If only I would of started 10 years ago instead of 5...
Yeah, the Generations book is great! I look at the pretty pictures every night before falling asleep lol. bugs the hell out of girlfriend actually . Those Euro's must look trippy when all displayed together
LOL
Do you have any pics of your collection anywhere on the net?
I'd like to see how you manage such a massive number of TFs |

Pyro -> Spark
Clench -> Colossus
Calcar -> RoadRaider
Hydradread -> Hydroshark
Rage -> Aquanaut
That's probably not all of them, but my memory's fuzzy. Quote:

I'm considering trying to work out a temporary display of everything here locally in Orlando when TF3 hits, if I could get someone to sponsor it. Quote: |

seth: Don't you feel like it takes away from the authenticity of your collection?
ams: Dude, you own three different unlicensed City Commander toys and a half dozen fake third-party Prime trailers. WTH? | |

Earlier this year, I completed a grail I've wanted since 1994 - a full set of Stormtroopers.
Bought a bag of second hand Actionmasters and Bombshell was in it.
Second purchase I bought on Ebay was a set of 32 G2 toys. Guy threw in Clench and Pyro.
While not a Euro exclusive, I have 4/5 of an oversized G2 Bruticus.
Also have Scorch, Motorvator Flame(last TF of my childhood) and Stalker.
Love G2 for the same reason I love Robotmasters it expands the G1 universe and the comics followed on from the G1 Marvel comics.
Would love Actionmasters Sideswipe and Tracks.
I have 2 Spittors, red and blue. Is one of them the Euro exclusive that was mentioned?
The Stormtroopers would make a great Encore set. Would love to see them repainted as Spychangers/Gobots characters or better yet 4 more, new Decepticon characters. |

I plan on, someday, doing a repaint of the Energon combiners Superion into the Predators, and Bruticus into the Turbomasters. Merged form would of course be, "Predator" and "Turbomaster", just because. Now if I can get a spare cheap set of those to work with, hah!
