Don't complain and then you won't hear people's negative responses.

And as far as release dates, I get my info when i go to my Walmart and it's there for me to buy.

newest additions...Kickback and the gang

It's not your fault, so to speak. You simply screwed yourself over by paying however much extra (at least twice, if not thrice MSRP, by my guess) you did to get it now versus getting it a month from now.

I'm sure SOME of you may have a few figures I want. Please have a look-see

Once again, I'm not complaining. I am just posting my experience and creating a discussion (it is in the boards name) about an observation.

Yeah, letting your customers know in advance when you're going to release a certain product is just stupid!

maybe if the title of your thread had to do with Hasbro release dates and not, "Screwed on Voyager Long Haul Release" people wouldn't think you were complaining, but when you say you got screwed, you kind of sound like you may be complaining. Make title match question/statement.

Exactly. I believed he was complaining about what happened and blaming Hasbro by saying that he was screwed. Thus my comments earlier in the thread. A little classification goes a long way here I think.

It's not Hasbro's fault that you lacked the patience to wait until the toy came out in the US for normal retail price, regardless of the difference between the scheduled release date and the actual release date.

Just started collecting (again), so I'm not exactly sure how distribution works. Would it be safe to assume that seeing unreleased toys from China, expected to come out in the near future, were America bound when they happened to fall off a truck enroute to a port where they would have been loaded into shipping containers, transported overseas, passed through customs, and placed back onto trucks so they could have been delivered to your preferred retailer? If that's the case, seeing unreleased toys on Ebay might be a good barometer to use for predicting when to expect that they will be readily available.

Welcome to the boards Justden. To answer your question, generally the toys you get from China like this are either extra copies of figures (production samples) that the Chinese manufacturer sends to Hasbro for quality checks to make sure Hasbro is happy with them, or are stolen during manufacturing (lunchtime specials). So in a way it can be a gauge as to what figures may be coming soon but it isn't exact as saying "as soon as this hits eBay it will definately be in stores in 2 months".
