If they're just smallish accents it wouldn't quite change the green/purple mass, but if they were large enough patches then it wouldn't quite be as much of a throwback to the classic.
For the combining one i wouldn't care either way since i'm passing, but my Ministator will be in Movie colors. The individual Constructicons I'd prefer to get in new color schemes before G1 color schemes... worked with Mixmaster, but I'd like to see a red Rampage with silver/black battle damage spraying [or an actual green-blue Crushbull nod, instead of the more traditional colors they ended up going with with Grindcore] before a G1 version.
There's plenty of construction vehicles across TF eras that would be awesome to nod to here - RiD Scavenger [or the BM colors, although I prefer the RiD ones], Energon Tread Bolt, the different Sixbuilder colors... Our actions speak louder than their words.

However that would also be pretty cool. |

I think it would look awesome as most movie toys look great with G1 homage. The ROTF stock movie color scheme reminds me too much of RID Landfill. |

I honestly have my doubts he'll be repainted. The only situation I can see that happening is for the TF3 line if Devastator appears again. He's just too big to justify a second release, IMO. I'd say a repaint of the Legends class Devastator would be far more likely, if anything.
After all, for Ultimate Bumblebee in TF1 a lot of people were saying an Ultimate Cliffjumper was "inevitable", but that didn't happen.
