Questions: The Alternity Line

Why are they so expensive? Do they have metal panels? Are they limited edition? Extra sturdy construction?

They're awesome-looking as all hell, so I would like to own one; but they're expensive. What's the dealio?

they do have metal parts, and like a lot of takara products they have a lot of detail, and WONDERFUL Paint quality! There are no bad paint on my silver one.
Awesome totally worth it (prime anyway)

Then either there's an error so it works for me and not for you, or you don't see anything useful in searching for the word "alternity" in the Feedback Forum.

I am actually quite curious as well about the Alternators....

I remember seeing them when the first movie came out, but I never got around to buying any of them since I did not start collecting until after the first movie.

Are they going to be releasing any new Transformers under the Alternators line? It looks like Takara is making more but will they ever go stateside?
