Only partially. The Alternity storyline is a continuation of the Binaltech storyline, apparently. Alternators never had a storyline. However the Alternity toyline is not the continuation of the Binaltech toyline because of the differing scales (1:32 verses 1:24), more of a successor really.

Alternator/Binaltech never did it for me. Probably I think the robot mode is not as good.

I bought Alternity Convoy and I love it instantly. Badass robot mode, good size and highly detailed. My Megatron is on the way now. I really hope the line will continue!
