TFTM voyager blackout ARM MODE (fingers included)

TFP/COMBINER WARS DEFENSOR, breakaway works really well as an arm

I had an idea about a better transformation for combine wars prime combined mode
I was wondering , for those of you that have it, can the arms in torso mode be rotated up
    Making the windsceen.parts point down?

Theoretically I think this will give him higher shoulders, and slightly better proportions
    Especially for motormaster

Another idea is to rotate them.180 degrees to help make the chest look better when it's closed,
    Will this work?

way back i saw a leader megatron movie(2007, i think it was the premium) that was TALLER(almost the same height as the rotf megatron, by just mistransforming him a bit(midsection) but never found the thread again
so, if somebody has it, let me know if it is possible(supposedly it wasnt a mod, just a mistransformation, and while the body wasnt as solid, i did look better)

Yup - I also found being able to angle that end piece up gives several weapon-mounting options (dunno if you can count it as a 'fan mode' though):

Keep the spoiler down and you can plug in the sword into the back to create a flame like effect.

Menasor has always been my favorite combiner and I pretty much only got Prime for the Masquerade version. I was sooo disappointed in his combined mode that I was bummed about how bad Menasor would be. I figured out that the problem is his torso proportions are off. His legs are too long compared to the torso. It's a short body which is only made to look worse by how wide it is. So I set out to see if I could alter the transformation to make it look better. I did two versions. One for Prime and one for Menasor. The Optimus one looks better IMO, but I'm sure Menasor will look better with Blackjack on his chest. If not, I'll transform him like Prime.

This makes the torso look taller by raising the shoulders which helps tremendously on the short torso problem. Sure, his head's a bit low between the shoulders which looks weird for Prime, but it'll be fine for Menasor since his toy and the FansProject one so it'll be fine. In my opinion, it's less of a problem than before.

The arms don't lock in up there, but they do wedge behind the smoke stacks and stay. You just have to watch when moving the combiner limb arms as that's whey you may want to hold it in place while posing. Anyway, on to the pics!

dont bend the legs, instead, leave them straight like in robot mode, then rotate them at the thights so the feet are pointing to the back anfdd the wheels are on the inside, it will still have leg articulation but will look way more proportionated

Turning his turret 180 degrees doesn't give him a new mode.

Duplicating my post from the Cool Stuff thread, but this definitely fits this thread too.

I was just throwing science at the wall to see what sticks. But I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.

    I give you...Gridlock.

Here's a back view for anyone interested in replicating this. The Wheeljack mold's shoulders weren't designed to support so much weight, but the pegs on Wildrider's spoiler let the Air Vehicon arms act as handy support struts; they can be unhooked to increase the range of motion if desired.
