I've been working on my own version of Devastator with combined forces from Classics Devastator (good luck finding him) and RID Devastator (good luck finding him, too). Shelled out close to a fortune on eBay to acquire them, but they are hella cool displayed as Constructicons.

Basically, it's the torso as Classics Devy, with the feet supported by Long Haul RID and Hightower RID. I wish there were some way to include Bonecrusher, because he is very lonely missing out on this gestalt mode. I'm not a Radicon, but wondering if I can't somehow make it possible to connect the two "feet" with magnets or something.

These guys look good among the rest of my collection, as the G1 versions barely come up to deluxe/voyager's knees. Long Haul, Scavenger, Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Mixmaster (Hightower standing in, I'm looking for a mixing drum to attach to him somehow) and Hook.

Maybe you could modify the peg on Bonecrusher to fit in the chest hole on Scavenger, and use Bonecrusher's Gestalt head for Devastator?

And it might be possible to transplant the sockets from the other two Classics Contructicons onto the RiD version leg bots. Since you don't need the original connectors from the RiD guys, you might be able to rip them out and fit the Classic connectors in their place.

I gotta admit, they look real good as a group, it never crossed my mind to try and mix and match Constructicons between the two sets.

That's great advice Zie, thanks! It never occured to me that Bonecrusher does have his own gestalt head. If I can flatten the top of Scavenger's head through transforming him... it just might work. I do find him challenging to transform. I'll see what I can do later on this week and post the results.

I will look into transplanting sockets but that stuff might be over my head. I really think these guys are the best stand-ins for Constructicons unless they are ever redone properly by Classics/Universe... but I am holding out hope for a Masterpiece edition G1 Devastator someday.

Anyone have a pic of the Energon Optimus Prime with two Wing Sabers combined to it?

I remember seeing it online when Energon was out and purposefully bought another Wing Saber so I can make the huge Optimus. But when I moved across the country I had to disassemble it and now I can't remember for the life of me how to combine it again.

Back during Energon I saw someone(I don't remember who/where to give credit), posted a very blurry picture of an Energon Weapons Motorcycle. I doubt this is exactly the same as that one, (the blurriness of the picture and similar colors of energon weapons made it hard to see exactly what was going on) but inspired by that here are my instructions to create an Energon Weapons Motorcycle, good for scout figures or GI Joes:

And here's Injector trying to imitate the GI Joe FLAK cannon:

Another thread was taking about the Scramble team leaders' base modes, so I think I came up with a better one for Hun-Grrr than the one shown on tfu.info. It's a battle station with gun, shield, and a dragon head peaking out to see what's going on in the battle field.

... vs. Scattershot's base mode:

Then I also came up with one for Snaptrap, or maybe it's Piranacon's base mode. I cheated a bit and used accessories from the other Seacons, and then the other Seacons themselves to create the Decepticons' ultimate artillery outpost.

The simple version without the other Seacons:

With the other Seacons attached:

I'm thinking of a modification.... could maybe put 2 gun mount connectors out on the front "feet" and have Nautilator & Tentakil mounted there instead of at Snaptrap's shoulders. It might clean up the look a bit, but maybe just get in the way of Snaptrap's Pom-pom guns then.
