I have gotten both versions of the Alternity Convoy figures from Takara Tomy and think they are fantastic! I'd love for Takara to continue the series beyond Megatron and constant repaints. They seem to have sold very well. Does anyone have any inside source of the future of the series or any guesses based on Takara's trends. I would be disappointed if it turned out like the THS series where they made 2 figures and stopped. I hate to say, I have a feeling this will be Alternity's fate but I certainly hope not. www.primetoystore.com |

Reason= They are crap and They're the Duplo Butt ugly looking, wanna' be Lego's!
I cannot believe an 80's Transformer collector would collect the Garbage of today. Yes, It's really that bad to me.

Also about them being a BT copycat yes that's a fact but we need to keep in mind Takara wanted to make the BT toys on a smaller scale so in a way these are TakaraTomy's original idea.
any ways my 2 cents.
Sadly I do think they will go the way of THS. It seems to me from a business POV Alternity Convoy was a cash in on the GTR's crazy popularity and the same goes for Megatron being based of the new Z.
As for other cars well looking at all the cars in the pipe line right now that will be big in Japan and have the same crazy cult following I dunno theirs not many maybe the Lexus LFA production concept might get some love? | |
