No. Passing on them. Don't like any of the figures and don't think there will be much of a demand on them. The 2007 and 2008 sets were much better. It just happens that now its in SoCal we get crap repaints. Figures.
I'm looking forward to adding to my Elite Guard ranks. Even TClash is starting to grow on me. Love Flak, love Landshark. I bought Henkei Cyclonus and Galvatron just to go with Scourge and have them all look awesome. I'm stoked.
Passing on it. I like some of the molds (E-Landmine, E-Starscream, E-Rodimus), but most of the colour schemes are terrible and it's characters that I either don't know or don't care about. I haven't ever purchased a BotCon set, but this is the only year so far where I wasn't at least tempted to buy it.
Its an easy pass for me. i dont like the molds or colors. at least ill have more money to spend at Botcon now.
I pre-ordered the set before knowing what it was. I regret it now. Oh well trade fodder it will be. the only one i like is Flak. But considering I have no idea who that is its not nearly as cool as 07 or even 08 sets which i missed out on.
I pre-ordered the Iacon set, but I think I'll cancel it. Does anyone know how to go about canceling the Iacon set? I have not seen anything for this year that bowled me over, and am disappointed in many of the mold choices. I think I'll wait till next year when animated and universe molds are available.
Some of the figures are pretty cool and I might get in the future(Flak or Scourge) but overall a pass.
Yup, proudly bought it to continue my Botcon toy streak that I started in 2000. While all of the figures aren't my favorites, Scourge, Flak and Thunderclash won me over.
I like the set enough not to sell it. I'm of the same opinion of this set as I am my Botcon '99 exclusives. They are nice repaints, souvenirs of my attending the convention and having a good time. But not much more than that. These aren't characters who have any nostalgia for me, Scourge and Kup included. Because they don't look much at ALL like Scourge and Kup. Neither of them nail the characters even as much as straight repaints Ratbat and Springer do, let alone homage Animated molds Swindle and Blurr, and it's a shame. The main reason I'll not be selling the set is that I feel the resale value won't outstrip their value as personal souvenirs and I'll regret letting them go.
You said it. My titaniums Scourge (that I paid on clearance for $4.88 at walmart) is proudly my classics scourge. If you want a kup that instills nostalgia then this guy nailed it. same with Thunderclash
Yes, this is my first Botcon set and I will have something worth more happiness than any resell value could ever bring...
Needs an option for not buying. I like the set though, its not amazing by any means, but its not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be.
