I am thinking of getting one of them. Purple Shockwave is very nice looking but I got the gray version already and getting the repaint is just for G1 paint job. Sunstorm OTOH is one of the Seekers and being that I have TFA Starscream and Skywarp already adding Sunstorm would be nice. What do you guys think?

My exact thoughts. Both repaints, but Sunstorm IS a seperate character.

 

i was on the fence to and wasn't sure but i ended up getting both. I got G1 sockwave to display as shockwave and gray schockwave to display as longarm. And Sunstorm is a separate character so i picked him up. I passed on gray shockwave for G1 colored Shockwave because I found him to look more "evil", and I also prefer the purple over the bland gray.

I passed on Sunstorm 3 times already. Broke down and bought him last night. He's okay. I don't care for him all whole lot, but I do like him. I got him because I like how big of a kiss-ass he is in the series. Since I don't have my own "yes" man in real life, I'll settle for one in plastic.  

 

I love Sunstorm on the show, so I may go back on my word and get him. I may get both Shockwaves. (though either at this point would be enough)

 

I got them both. While both are enjoyable and both are on display, I'm a little dissatisfied in the QC on both of them. Shocky has a number of loose joints and Sunstorms autotransformation has issues and sometimes slips the gears.

However, the activators were both perfect, the price isn't bad considering what you get, and both look great on display.

Purple Shockwave was my first version; I had spotted regular Shockwave a grand total of once beforehand and passed on him, only to not be able to find him again until just recently, when I caved and bought him as well.

i got sunstorm (had to  ) and its quite a nice repaint.. purple shockwave, maybe.. i was thinking of giving it a pass.. but then someone had this idea of displaying the purple shockwave as shockwave, and the other one as longarm.. that sounds good   maybe if i can afford it

 

I got the purple Shockwave. Since I could't find the normal version and still can't. He is a great figure with a nice G1 paintjob. Activators BB was a nice throw in too.

I wanted to get Sunstorm, but I didn't have enough cash, and I already have activators Ratchet.
