OK, I hope this is the right forum for this....

Last month, I was asked to make a trade from my sales thread for a Titanium Scourge. To sum it up, the guy got his figures a few days later, and I have gotten excuse after excuse, and most PM's have gone unanswered. About once a week, he says he'll get around to it, but I haven't heard anything since the last message over a week ago.

I tried to be as quiet about it as I could, but I finally decided to leave him some feedback explaining the situation. I'm not trying to hold a grudge, just be objective about it.

My REAL question, is what else, if anything, can be done about it? Worst case scenario, I'm out $15 on a bad deal, boo hoo. I have his name and address, but no clue if the name is legit or not. And a white page search revealed no number listed, and different names at the address provided.

I apologize if this comes across as an attempt to bad mouth a fellow board member. I have left out his name on purpose, unless people choose to follow the feedback link. With any luck, hopefully I can learn from others that have been in a similar situation, or help prevent others from repeating the same mistakes.

    Thanks!

Well, I would have first suggested that you wait for the stuff he was suppose to send you before sending off your stuff. I'm not sure how the trades usually work here since I've never done one, but I would imagine someone posting a "stuff I have for sale" thread is kind of like an Ebay seller. Wait for payment before sending the goods etc.

As for what you can do about it, I have no clue. It sounds like you may have gotten screwed.

To be honest mate there is nothing you can do.

Maybe the guy is having problems that have prevented him doing this, maybe he hasn`t. All you can do is get it out there that way, they can air their side of the story. Hopefully it all works out so everyone is happy.

That's the reason I posted in his feedback thread and linked it. I didn't put it in my original post because I didn't want this to turn into a thread about bashing him. Believe me, I certainly hope he comes through and all ends well.

Those that are curious, by all means follow the link to his feedback thread.

Well the truth is the truth as I dont think it is bashing anyone? I do not know if posting who he is goes against rules but might put others on stand by if the are currently thinking or involved in a deal with him as well as yourself. I looked but did not see were you posted the info...

By the tone of your feedback, it was pretty much just "feedback" on the transaction not really "bashing." So i wouldn't feel bad about it. Also, you can always edit the post later "if" the item comes in eventually.

At the least I don't think your feedback in the linked thread is really harsh or anything. You were trying to be reasonable. That's a plus.

In my mind, it was always the guy who initiated the wish to trade who would send first. For instance, the one who created the Trade thread or whatever.

I guess the only thing you can do now is wait and then mail file mail fraud on the guy. I do a lot of Magic Cards trading (LOL, Hasbro really has my money) and when a guy doesn't send I report him to mail fraud. Look it up on the postal website. I don't have the direct link for it.

I've been ripped before also. Not from anyone here. I even filed mail fraud charges ans went to the police station to talk to an officer. Basically, if I didn't fl to their area to press charges I was out of luck. I always rely on karma. Hopefully, somewhere, they are getting the fist up the ass they deserve.

Same, especially if they had NO feedback I'd have them send first.

I remember that back in the time (around 2002 or something) I made a deal with a guy for a armada Screamer, I was giving him something from G1, however, when I received the figure he sent me, it was like in heavy played condition, it was even chewed in one of the wings. When I reached him, amd actually faced him about him, the guy resulted to be a 10 years old......said him. Since then, Ive never been involved in any trade.

I also lost 20 dollars because of that guy from Transrepro, who was supposed to be having heartattacks everytime he was invloved in any deal. I do hope karma gets him.....

these are two excellent rules to follow when trading.
definitely helps prevent any sort of problems from happening.
hope your trade comes through in the end, roy.

I go with "lowest feedback" to send first.
