I really doubt Ironhide will be corrected soon.

Superior paint application; don't look like £1-shop KOs etc etc. :thumbs2:

And chrome = win (and a great tie-back to the original 1980s toys too).

Neon Megatron, pointless Cybertron filler repaints, etc = not win

If there is one thing that makes toys look cheap it's the chrome. (in my opinion). Henkei incarnations normally do have superior paint apps, though.

Some henkei figures do look better than their Classics/Universe counterparts (such as say..Megatron, or Dinobot who looks to be more show accurate with blue instead of purple) however some look much worse (i.e. Cyclonus the ballerina), and the randuhm chrome is just...ugh, rarely has that actually looked good on a henkei figure (ironically, I like the chrome on Cyclonus and Nightstick).

Eh. "American components, Russian components. ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!"

Picking one line specifically over the other is absolutely ridiculous. I go on a character by character basis. And so far, the only Henkeis on my shelf are Megs, Cyclonus (which I have both Henkei & Universe of displayed), and Ratchet. I'll likely pick up an Astrotrain as well, but that can wait.

Paints apps are typically nicer and geewun and all, but you do pay the price for them. Chrome's hit and miss, and I really don't care one way or the other about it. But again, you pay for that as well.

That may be a deciding factor for me. You see, in the UK, I can either pay £12.99 for a Universe deluxe (standard RRP) or approx £16 for the Henkei version shipped to my home from Japan. As the price difference is so small, it's an easy choice for me.

Now, if I was paying $7.88 or whatever in Wal-Mart for Deluxes, then yeah, I might be more on the fence.

And to the poster who said "those are all opinions" in response to my previous post - of course they are! Did I say otherwise?

My only real complaints about Ironhide are the fact he falls in half during transformation, or the fact that it's impossible to get his head to face forward.
