I don't have Soundwave, but I love my Blaster redeco. The legs could use some work, and folding wings wouldn't have hurt at all, but still, overall I really dig the mold. I want to get a Soundwave now, to fight with Blaster.

My favourite thing about him? The weapons and Laserbeak, er sorry, I mean Blockrock. I love they all intergrate into the alt mode. Brilliant thinking, that was.

Cyb. Soundwave is a great fig. and I would have bought Blaster for full price as soon as I saw him IF he had a head more befiitting, well, Blaster. Ah, well, I'll get it someday.

Yeah, the head does look a little off. I'm planning on doing a bit of custom work to mine once I a) have the free time and b) work up the courage to slice up one of my beloved Transformer figures.

nothing to slice if you're just doing a head-swap, as a simple screw on the back of the head is all it takes to remove it. :)  I painted the chest (testors "yellow") so it matches the boxart, and then I modded and painted that silly blockrock to be something more fitting of Blaster. All I am waiting on is my Sculpbot custom Blaster head, which I'll have to paint, and it'll be done.

I have the Blaster re-paint, and the legs could have been done alot better. Over all I think its a nice figure.

Only reason I still have mine is because I collect Soundwaves. I don't really like this mold that much but I don't hate it either. My biggest gripe about it would be the crappy feet.

Alas, I have no head to swap, so I'm planning on doing a couple sketches up, then getting to work.

Is there anyway of fixing the knees so he can actually stand without looking like he just finished riding a horse for a week without ruining the ability to transform?

This is a great summary. I've got the Soundblaster version, and it's just so full of small flaws, I find myself not really caring for the figure.

He's got great articulation, but all this kibble to hinder it. He's got these neat bombs/weapons/Buzzsaw that fall out all the time in Bomber mode. The legs are awkward at best and make him impossible to stand at times. His transformation is a pain. Plus, on mine, the cockpit never fully pegs in, the plastic must be just slightly warped.

I don't hate him, I'm just extremely apathetic about the mold. As I recall, he was on my display shelf until I changed the display and he was one of the first to go into storage, I haven't gotten him out since.

I think soundwave's movie figure is really nice besides him having two jet looking forms hopefully he has a satellitte form, it wouldn't hurt to have a ravage toy also made just like Scorponok was.

The only thing that bugs me about the figure is that the feet don't stick in place in alt-mode. Other than that, the figure is A.O.K. with me.

    :lol

    Wee bit touchy there, bud?

Anyway, as Wheeljack_Prime said, the feet are a bit of a pain. I think it really is a great mold that has so much potential, but was slightly marred by a few flaws. Still, I like my Blaster redeco so much, I'm planning on tracking down a Soundwave on Ebay once I have some spare funds.

    THIS!

As far as I'm concerned, this is the Soundwave that stands next to Megatron in my collection. There's just so much right about him. However, he also has a *lot* of wrong working against him. The concept is great...but the execution has it's issues. I can stand the wings, though it would have been nice if they could move somewhat, and I can stand the legs, though it would have been nice if they were a bit more stable...the thing that really irks me about the mold is the damnjet kibble on his right arm. Not the cockpit-shield bit, because I can live with that. I mean the nose-cone chunk that just dangles off his wrist. That's the worst part about this mold IMO.

But regardless of his faults, he's still a great figure imo. When I get Hound, I'm going to try and fit Ravage onto Soundwave somehow. It might not be a bomb like Laserbeak, but at least he'll be home again.
