Yeah, I imagine a Fort Max would be pretty pricey, and perhaps extremely limited. I remember when I got my Re-Issue of Omega Supreme, the store that carried him only got two, and another store only received one. And they were a $130.00. So yeah, I could see Max going pretty high, and very limited. In an auction, forget it. And other sites might have him in really limited quantities

Also, the Constructicons/Devastator is a modern figure in 2009. For Max is based off of a 20+ year old mold. So, there's been many changes in technology to produce better figures that are safer and more durable. Fort Max would be a straight up import, a US localization would be out of the question. Its like getting a US localization for G1 Megatron. Would never happen in a million years.

Aw, I thought this thread was about Devs breaking FM's record of tallest TF ever. Which he does. And that's awesome.

As for the actual thread topic, I wouldn't know, but I'd go with what Ravenxl7 says. He knows his stuff, he does.

Yes, it is a fair price, it just cause financial conflicts. I'm going to buy the Nintendo DSi, which is supposed to be $180. I already have $100. Although, there is a loop-hole. The DSi supposedly comes out April 4th. That's before my birthday. Here's the real catch. Devastator should come out on May 29th, like the other RotF toys. My birthday comes BEFORE then. Birthday money and perhaps a few chores should get me Devastator.
BTW, just explaining what I meant in that previous post. That's why I told you guys all that crap you probably wont remember.

You and a lot of people seem to think that the "Drop test" is about wether a toy would survive a drop from a high fall intact.

And the simple fact is that it is not.

the toy companies or the child safty commission arent conserened if the toy breaks after falling.....there conserened if the child can get hurt by the falling toy.

I cant invision a combined toy, even standing at 2 ft tall causing the amount of damage to a child as Fortress Max would if it fell on a kids head.

I would have to agree with this even though i really wish it would be released over here in the US. I will be buying the devestator once it is released. But there is also many other G1's i would love to see relased mainly the dinobots

Actually the OP is partially correct on the point. If the purpose of the drop test was if the falling object would cause harm upon impact, there wouldn't need to be a test as it would be a simple matter ofmath, using the weight of the toy.

A drop test looks to see if any parts that come off of the toy after a certain drop (usually 4-6 feet onto concrete) are sharp enough to cut, or small enough to get stuck in a small parts cylinder that simulates a child's throat.

Your words and link prove exactly what I was trying to say.

There not worried about the damage to the toy but the damage the toy itself could cause a child in what ever condition its in after the fall.
