I'd buy it if it were complete (All accessories from G1!) And if the price were $300 or less. >_>

I for one would be all for it. And as for this topic being overdone, I think there is a big enough demand for it. The people who want it far outweigh you people who don't so of course it will be discussed. Don't like it....don't open the thread. besides I have only seen it come up a few times.

No these threads do serve a purpose. You have have seen the JAaM license plate on Hot Shot right? You never know who's reading these threads and might set the ball in motion.

You are misinformed then, in Japan and China Takara could not even GIVE them away at a huge discount. Not just a slight shelfwarmer either, a HUGE shelfwarmer. Isn't there anyone here on the boards from Japan or China that remembers this? I remember it quite vividly. It seems like every time someone brings up how much of a shelf warmer Brave Max was no one wants to believe it. It simply did not sell at all.
I'll throw you some quotes from other TF message boards about it if you still don't believe me.

I wasn't talking about the lucky draw Brave Max that had all the accessories by the way, I was talking about Takara taking the huge overstock of Brave Max and giving them away as lucky draws.

I want a Classicverse Fortress Maximus. We're far overdue for a modern cityformer, and with the minibot legends, this would seem the Perfect time to do a new take on them. THrow in a headmaster...and I'm sold :)

I don't really buy much into encores and so forth. Beast Wars was the generation I grew up with, so thats where my Nostalgia tends towards.

I could definitely go for a modern reinvention of FM.

Didn't they do a new Omega Supreme in Animated? Something like that, only in the Universe line.

well, when it's FIRST HAND experiance, its not misinformation. i know what i saw on e-bay trying to get one, online stores trying to order one, and the price they were going for. this is the VERY FIRST time i've EVER heard of this being an "epic fail" seeing as how much they now gfo for, and how hard it still is to get one.

Here is a post about it from Professor Smooth on the Seibertron forums. This was about a year ago:

It's just one man's opinion you know. Plenty of people here claim Ultimate Bumblebee was and still is a shelfwarmer yet where I live it sold out every single time he was available. Could be the same for Brave Max.

A boxed Fort Max for $50? Within the last two years?

I don't use the Seibertron forums, so don't know if the guy is reliable or not (he'll probably turn out to be extremely well known :D )

But a boxed Jap. G1 Fort Max for $50! Only from someone that didn't know what they had, even accounting for space issues; I'd live in the box for that price (if he was complete).

if they were so shelf warming than why where they selling so well online, and selling out everywhere? like i said, i had to wait a year untill the sonoking version came out, because the takara one was sold out everywhere, e-bay prices were astronomical, and if it sold so bad in japan, than why did sonoking licence them and sell them in an even smaller market in Korea?

    I don't know dude.
I'm just passing the same information along that I got about the situation. That guy is not anywhere near the only person who has claimed the exact same thing. If you don't think the information is reliable or untrue, then just believe what you want I guess.

    Sheesh just forget about it.
