I have $55, and I don't know what to get. Should I get shadow blade megatron or wait for dinobot, jetfire and jetstorm, samuri prowl, and waspinator?
I'd rather wait for the other toys. Animated Leader Megatron is an awesome figure, but the repaint is...well, it's just a repaint. If you don't have the regular one, get that one instead (maybe it's even cheaper now where you live?), and then get the other figures.
Like said, if you don't have the original Megatron then go for it. I think the repaint looks awesome. But if you do have Megatron then pick up the other bots.
I'd save the money for the others. The repaint of Megatron is fairly pointless, even if it is nice, and I find the mold itself to be a little disappointing at full price. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to run before being lynched.
I have both, and I love Shadow Blade, but I'd wait. Don't get me wrong, it's a great toy, and I've always loved the mold, but new molds always take priority over repaints in my opinion. If you don't have a Leader Megatron, the Shadow Blade version is a good one to have, although I would have liked more purple. Now I just need to find a Storm Cloud for less than $27 so that I can pose him with Shadow Blade Megatron, Skywarp and Galvatron for my own TF version of the Third Street Saints.
Get more Classics. The more Classics/Universe figures that are sold, the higher the chances that Hasbro will bring them back after the Movie line is done.
i got a foot of snow today, i'd use it to pay to get my driveway plowed. jk... i'd get the grey one to stay show accurate, but that purple one is darn nice.
No mold? Get Megatron. It's a completely badass mold with the most excellent NON-SHOW color scheme in the galaxy. Plus he got purple chest lights.
get the original leader megs first, if u dont have it.. if u do, pass on shadow blade megs n go for more classics or animated, theyre both cool
Does he? I remember seeing the repaint for the first time, kinda liked it, but later on found out all his plastic and LEDs were still red? If he glows purple, I might have to go back for a second look!
If you don't have Megs, I recommend getting him in his original colours. The transformation is kinda simplistic but I really like the toy!
Oh to speak the truth and be out cast by it. I'm on the same page as most here. Save your and wait if you already have the regular Animated Leader Megatron. I don't see the point in shadow Megatron or as I like to call it Nemesis Megatron his even more evil clone.
you should get the classics because rite now animated will be at stores for a while or if your buying them online. but if you dont have megatron and you really want him go for it.
As far as the chest lights go, they're still red. The plastic is purple in color (barely), but the red of the light overpowers it. Also, the nose lights up like a flashlight. Otherwise, it's a great-looking repaint. If I had a lot of extra money, I'd buy it. As it stands, I'm sticking with the original.
