i plan on geting some toys from the classics line but i cant make up my mind to get hasbro or henkei, so i need some help on some toys astrotrain hasbro or henkei hot rod hasbro or henkei mirage hasbro or henkei jetfire hasbro or henkei skywarp hasbro or henkei thundercraker hasbro or henkei EDIT:megatron hasbro or henkei optimus prime hasbro or henkei EDIT: i m looking for show accurate colors
I went Classics all around for those figures. Just cheaper to get, and they transform the same. I'm not too worried about some slightly different paint apps or colors. EDIT: Except for the TC you added after I submitted my post For that one I'm holding out for a Uni2.0 release.
I'd go Hasbro, except for Astrotrain (if price isn't an issue) and Thundercracker (otherwise you're looking at the botcon exclusive)
Astrotrain's Henkei release is the only one that's significantly different from the Hasbro release. Just saying.
dont you know its like pokemon? gotta collect them all!!! j/k It is all a matter of personal choice. astrotrain hasbro or henkei Do you want white shuttle and train? or show accurate colors? hot rod hasbro or henkei Chrome is the key decision here cant go wrong either way mirage hasbro or henkei again chrome is key. I like Henkei cause it reminds me of G1 with the chrome front and back spoilers. jetfire hasbro or henkei. On looks like Jetfire G1 the other looks more like Skyfire your decision. skywarp hasbro or henkei Skywarp is cheaper to get and I havent looked too deeply into henkei thundercraker hasbro or henkei. Considering the only way to get a hasbro thundercracker is fromt the botcon 07 set it will be expensive (unless there is a universe one Im not aware of) then i say get henkei.
Mirage is a tossup to me; can't go wrong either way. I got the Henkei but the Hasbro one isn't bad either. I'd definetly go with Henkei Hot Rod, and Henkei Thundercracker should be easier and cheaper than the Hasbro Botcon one. Skywarp's a mixed bag to me; I got the Hasbro one from the Magnus/Skywarp twopack and I don't mind the brighter purple paint job. I'm not big on the Henkei one but that should also be easier and cheaper to get unless you can land the twopack on eBay or Junkion for a similar price as the Henkei. For Astrotrain, if you prefer a paint job closer to G1 than the Henkei would be the choice. If you don't care, than you may as well grab the Hasbro one.
Thundercracker is a billion dollars for the Botcon version. Is that even really the same as a Hasbro version? Regardless, the Henkei one on that is a ton cheaper. As far as the others, look at official pictures of them and decide for yourself. If I had thought about it before I bought it (and based on my Wildrider), I would have bought Henkei Rodimus instead of Classics Rodimus. I think his chrome is one of the few figures that it works really well on. (One of the others being Optimus Prime/Convoy, his chrome is the best out of any Henkei release, IMO)
Very true. But I would have prefered that Takara Tomy went all out and chromed the stacks so that in cab mode, he would have chrome stacks. I know it isnt on your list, but Sunstreaker in Henkei is one of my top choices for henkei. I like the subtle homage to the G1 toy. Chrome intakes, spoiler and gun.
astrotrain, definitely henkei.. the hasbro one doesnt look like astrotrain at all.. hot rod, either one is ok.. i have the henkei so i'll just say go for that.. in fact, its more toon accurate, and kinda looks better too mirage, again either one is ok coz its an awesome figure.. if u dont like the chrome spoilers, and u like more decal-stuff, go for the hasbro.. i got the henkei, again.. in fact, i have all these figures from henkei so i'll stop saying that jefire, i know a lot of people like the hasbro version over the takara one, but i think its more G1 accurate, and still very cool, even if its got a little too much white.. so i suggest henkei again skywarp, henkei.. i think its got better paint apps and just looks better.. thundercracker, i didnt know a hasbro one exists? is there one in the making? until then, henkei's the only way to go.. its also a good figure, apart from the annoying QC issues, although theyre easily fixed.. hope ive helped u out

i think u've made great decisions on the one u asked for advice.. but prime and megs? u sure u wanna go hasbro with those two? prime, at least, is ok.. but megs is terrible... i dunno, if u like hasbro's versions better, then go for it.. but personally i feel those are two of henkei's best
