Hard to pick an absolute favorite, but Classics/Universe would be my current number 1, followed by G1/G2, Animated, RID, Beast Wars/Machines, Alternators, Cybertron, Movie & Beyond, Armada, Machine Wars, and Energon.

By the way, where is Machine Wars?

Hard to decide. G1 for nostalgia, durability, die cast, and for looking like real cars which adds to the whole robots in disguise aspect as they were first advertised.

But Classics are great updates to the G1 line!

Then the Alts just had great engineering and design even if they were repetitive.

I'd say those 3 are in a tie. Animated is 2nd or 4th or whatever. The other series I don't care for at all.

Awesome molds and recolors, what else can I say? The line that really got me into collecting once again.

    Thanks Car Robot! Thanks RID!

    Classics Universe.

I always loved Transformers, but I was never a collector. Primarily a G1 fan as well, so I didn't find most of the newer shows and toylines very impressive.

Classics got me into it. These are the toys I'd been waiting for. G1 with today's toy engineering.

And to think, this line could've easily just not happened.

Bummer. I wonder which line you could group it with that would make sense.

Get rid of Armada and Energon on the list, and create a "Misc" option for the few people that like these, or other lines, as their favorite.

Then put Go-Bots on there as it's own and see how many it gets.... :p

I'm pretty much in the same boat you are. I had a couple of original G1 TFs but, I was never really a collector. I had them and loved them as a kid. Then, when Classics came out in 2006 the floodgates opened.

I just happened to see them at my local Wal-mart and suddenly, all of the nostalgia and memories came rushing back to me and I felt like a kid again. I remember, people were practically swarming around the island that they had set up in the toy section for TF Classics. I had to see what was going on......and the rest is history. The Classics line reminded me how great Transformers (G1 especially) really were.

That's why Universe/Classics will always be my favorite and have a special place in my collection. They are the G1 characters and designs that are made how they were meant to be. They aren't their blocky, un-cartoon accurate counterparts from the 80's. I wish we would've had G1 toys this great when we were kids in the 80's.

The Universe/Classics line and the 2007 Movie is what brought a ton of collectors back onboard. Where would we be today if Universe/Classics was never even started in the first place?

Animated by far....it's what got me back into Toy collecting after all these years.
