Over the last few weeks, I've been contemplating on whether or not I should get Cybertronian Megatron (Voyager) and Cybertronian Optimus (Deluxe). They look awesome and whatnot, their transformation is really cool, but I recently bought Leader Earth Megatron and got Voyager Earth Optimus as a gift.

I really love Animated, but I need your help, would I be better off just leaving them alone? I know for sure I'm NOT getting Roadbuster Ultra Magnus, Shadow Blade Megatron, Sunstorm, Skywarp, G1 Shockwave (Maaaaaybe) and Atomic Lugnut or any other repaints because those aren't different in any way besides cooler colours and maybe different weapons.

Should I get Cybertronian Megatron and Optimus?

I'd say no. You already have the best versions of each character and the Cybertronian incarnations are nothing to write home about.

Cybertron Optimus is pretty fun, and has a better Axe than the Voyager. Cybertron Megatron is one of the less impressive Voyagers. I like him but can understand the criticisms that are leveled against him.

The best way to own these two designs really is to pick up the two pack, the smaller Megatron is nearly as good as the more expensive Voyager, while the Optimus is more or less the same mold, but with the most show accurate accessories and with the bonus of being the more familiar design.

I'm a completionist for wanting to own all the unique molds from a line. I bought the 2-pack without hesitation and really like both figures. Megatron is pretty basic and has loose legs, but I like the figure quite a bit. Glad I picked it up. Optimus is probably may favorite of the figures released for him.

Cybertron Prime is the only one with waist articulation, and I think his axe is a lot better than people have given credit for. Very cool version of the character, go for it.

Voyager Megs... meh. Haven't bought him and don't intend to unless I see him VERY cheap.

Cybertronian Optimus is a very good choice, but the Megatron... well he's not truly a bad toy but the fact that his Deluxe Version is ALOT better hurts it alot.

Thanks. I figure after I get the main Animated figures I need (Ratchet, Starscream, Bulkhead and Ultra Magnus are my latest purchases, they'll be here later this week) and get Blurr, Swindle and Shockwave/Longarm once they come out in Canada, then I'll get Cybertronian versions of Optimus and Megatron.

Thanks again! A moderator can close this if they felt that this topic is over! :D

for the price deluxe optimus is a good pick up. Megatron is something to pick up if you haven't bought a tf in a while and he's the only tf in town. Not horrible. But not a must have either.

I HAD Voyager Megs and SOLD it. That says a lot! A lot of people hate it because the gun is too big for the figure and it does not lock on to his arm like the leader class. Causing to tip a bit on one side. that is the major downer. Now deluxe Optimus I've never owned but judging from what everyone says it's the better choice.

the megatron isnt great.. the alt mode is rather dumb, i think.. i dont have deluxe prime either, but i hear he's pretty cool.. and im not going in for repaints of the same character (with the same name), but repaints of the same mold used for a different character... skywarp n sunstorm, definitely for me (off topic, i know :D )
