so to set the record here is what my Diaclone Battle Convoy originally looked like






Thanks to Spencer, I picked up a set of G1 repro smoke stacks. And i figured if im going to transplant these new ones, why stop there?

So I grabbed a new 25th Anniversary Prime and harvested its parts.

A slightly extensive tranplant process. Sadly I could not remove the front axle which would have allowed me to use the 25th prime's chrome legs. The gas tanks have posts of a thicker diammeter and i decided to not transplant those.

I did however transplant the silver decals, grill/bumper, and headlights.



Here is what he looks like now.

Nice job. Pity you couldn't do anything for the paint chips on the front, because other than that to my eyes I don't see too many blemishes. I don't even see the wear on the legs at first glance. Gorgeous piece.

Which Convoy / Optimus is on the right on the shot of the two together, out of curiosity?

 

Definitely freshens him up a bit. Looks really good.

 

battle convoy deserves it, he is the daddy of our beloved g1 optimus prime, i love battle convoy, one of the best toys ever made!

 

That would be music label prime.
