Has anyone bought the henkei Octane, galvatron and Silverstreak? What are the differences and would you recommend.

I love the Megatron and astrotrain versions and I ordered hotrod. I am trying to decide between one of the 3 above along with Ironhide.

    Thanks for the help.

personally, i love all classics 1.0 henkei figures.. theyve got chrome thats done tastefully, even though its pointless it doesnt look bad.. classics 2.0, i dont really like any henkei versions EXCEPT Hound, which i LOVE.. galvatron has that massive lump of chrome on top of the tank, big NO from me. silverstreak and octane are ok, i guess, but i really dont like the chromed weapons, so im passing on those.. hot rod, megatron and astrotrain are henkei must-buys, imo.. way better than classics hasbro versions.. ironhide.. well, the new hasbro version has fixed the blue face, so go for that.. coz ironhide has the fully chromed weapon, which i dont like.. but its upto u, depending if u like it or not.. but seriously, hound is perfect! cyclonus looks good too

Save the Henkei spending for Ratchet and Cyclonus.

I have the henkei version of grimlock so yeah I like. I forgot I had starscream as well.

I ordered henkei cyclonus and I am with you on hound. I like the darker color of ironhide.
I am skipping on those 3. I was on the fence but I decided not to for now. Maybe if I find more comparison pics of anyone who has them and can convince me. Thanks for all the help.

Most recommended Henkei :: Megatron, Astrotrain, Convoy, Ramjet.

Others are "meh" for me, and I'd prefer their Universe counterparts.

I have the Henkei's of Prime, Megatron, Silverstreak, Hot Rod, Mirage, Silverstreak and Thundercracker. Prime, Megatron and Hot Rod are much better than the Classics versions. Silverstreak is nice to me, as is Sideswipe, Mirage, and Thundercracker. For the first three, if you like a little chrome but nothing too overbearing, I'd get those (since you mentioned just Silverstreak of those three, only that one may be applicable to you). I'm also getting the Henkei's of Bumblebee, Sunstreaker and Ironhide. Bumblebee is also preferred over Universe; Sunstreaker is a tossup and I'll lean toward Henkei with Ironhide. I have the Universe versions of Starscream, Jetfire and Ramjet and am SO glad I got those over the Henkei's; the Henkei paint jobs seem more bland to me and the chrome doesn't save anything. That's just me though.

As for Grimlock...I don't like the mold so I won't buy it, but of the pics I've seen of both the Universe mold is better looking to me. The chrome on the Henkei is too randomly placed for me.

I thought the chrome on the Henkei is where the chrome on the G1 was. Grimlock always made a better dino than he did robot, so I keep him as such (I just have the Classics version, for the record).

I must be in the minority in preferring Classics Hot Rod to Henkei. Chrome wing is nice, but that orange hood makes me cringe. The only fault in the Classics is the lack of an Autobot symbol there on the hood.

I stick to what I had said in my previous post, though. Of the three mentioned, I have no problems at all with Octane, aside from a problem with all triple-changers. I can't really remember any differences between Henkei and Universe Bluestreak other than a chrome spoiler. Doesn't seem worth it overall. Galvatron... I'm not going to open the can of worms, but not even a Henkei deco would make me want to buy that figure. (Come to think of it, I've never seen Henkei Galvatron. Are there pictures anywhere?)

It's Ratchet and Cyclonus for me when it comes to Henkei. Ratchet mostly because I think a clean, chrome weapon/tool suits a surgeon. And Cyclonus to be Cyclonus, with an Armada buddy courtesy of Universe.

Didn't think Octane & Galvatron were wildly different from their Classics versions; but I thought Henkei Ironhide had some nice subtle differences, and I'd also recommend splashing out on Henkei Sunstreaker, as he has the same shade of yellow - and it's a deeper shade too - all over, unlike the Hasbro version. For such an awesome toy, a good finish is a must..

As somebody who owns almost the entire line, I'd say get Silverstreak. I was on the fence about buying him and waiting for him to be on clearance, but I'm glad I got him now.

The colours are [IMO] better than the universe version, he looks more classy.

Octane is also nice, but not the greatest figure ever. The chrome on him is minimal if you prefer that.

Don't have Galvatron yet, got lost in the mail >_>

I really think the chrome destroys the Henkeis.Yet I bought Galvatron because he's the only Galvatron available.

I reccomend Hound and Cyclonus.I've never bought them, but they're cool and I might get them soon...

Go for Sunstreaker. A nice instance of the chrome being in the right place, and the yellow of the figure is better.
