^ This.
I'm not into everything TF. Started an Animated collection, but it just doesn't fit the aesthetic of the stuff I like most, like Classics/Universe. I'm doing my best to rebuild G1 by buying any kind of homage figure I can find, and barring that, an actual G1 figure.
The one thing I have had no interest in whatsoever is the movie line(s). I love the movies, but I just think the toys are horrible. They have beautiful vehicle modes but freaking ugly robot modes (that's it's insanely hard to transform them into), so I've skipped all of them. I've been drawn to Sideswipe a bit, but I'm staying strong. If it doesn't fill a space in my G1 redux collection, I can do without it.

I like both lines very much, and follow both very closely, but Bionicle dies down for about five months every year, so it's different. I take spells with this stuff. For a while I'll be buying Bionicle, then Transformers, then Bionicle, and back and forth. |

If you loose it you loose it, but don't stop for some one else, if they don't like it, then they won't like other things too it seems, do what feels right for you.

i am terrible at model kits and their size, save for a couple G Gundam boxed behemoths were perfect. hate i missed out on those last few Gundam Seed figs.
as for TFs, i think that after i get the TFA figs and RotF Swerve and Thrust, i am going to be left wondering if there's anything worth waiting for with TFU 3.0 and beyond.
if there's waves of RotF that are extremely weak or TFU lacks any standouts, that is how i will lose interest.
though i may struggle to stay in the hobby and buying G1/Encore things hoping for new, cheaper figs to be released. Quote: |

They're pretty straight-forward to assemble and don't need glue or paint. All you need is a decent cutter and patience! LOL! |

1. There is nothing to hunt for right now (I don't want any of these movie repaints, and the exclusives like MP Skywarp, Classic repaints, etc arn't out). Nothing like the thrill of the hunt.
2. Though I do like the movie and animated looks, both lines have been more display pieces for me, where I get them, transform them once, and put them on the shelf. Universe/Classics were a more "fun" line for me.
3. Lack of time/money. My job right now is not full time, so I find other things to spend money on (especially in the summer), and even without a heavy work schedule, I have found myself being quite busy lately.
4. A lot of the stuff I have started to get into (Henkei exclusives, MPs, FP stuff, etc) is a bit pricey on my current budget. I do well to budget my money, and even looking at them online drives me a little nuts because I know I can't fit them in it (although I keep trying to figure out a way, which drives me more nuts). Its a visious cycle that I just stay out of right now.
5. Finally, lack of display room. I ran out of shelf space, and the stuff just started piling up. There is no point in adding much to my collection if I can't enjoy it to its fullest. I often wonder why people collect if they are going to keep it boxed away (If I were to do that, I would be a lot more choosy, cause I would see it as an investment and just shoot for stacks of stuff that has the potential of going up in value, thats why I buy stocks and have other investments). Although I do understand and envy MISB collectors at times.
End of book....for now. Haves: Target Shockwave/Sunstorm MISB, Both SDCC CCs, 25th Doc, Non-Foil Flint, K-Mart Minicon 12-pack. Looking To Trade For: Alternators, MP Magnus, hit me up. Retail Wants: 2 (or 4) Zhu Zhus for my nieces for Christmas. TFA Electro Soundwave
