Sorry for the teaser guys, but im in Vancouver BC. actually Richmond, for XMAS. i found a loose classics 2.0 inferno, complete for $27 incl the 14% sales tax. I dont have pics of it since the internets here sucks, i have to use the free wifi of the local asian mall.
damn! lucky man, somebody here got one in the mail from HTS. it was loose? so it came from a collectors shop or something?
Uhg... mine was supposed to get delivered already. The tracking number shows it in town, but it won't get here until the 30th.... I guess Fedex is delivering on foot once they get within your zip code.
It's been out in limited quantities throughout the US since last weekend. That said, I've yet to find even any remotely new toys.
Haha. The same thing here! The package has been in town since the 24th, but it still has an estimated delivery of the 30th. What's wrong with Monday in Portland? I don't see any snow on the roads around here any longer.
It's people like you that make me die inside a little bit. Just kidding. What made you get rid of it?
One of these days, I'm going to get a figure before anyone else, and I'll post a thread going "NA Na na-na na..." and nothing else but a picture of myself holding the figure and flipping off the collective "you."
The fact that I love him SO MUCH I want the Henkei one in brilliant red instead! Don't misunderstand me; I didn't get rid of it because I don't like it -- I just sold it so I don't have two of the same figure. Seriously, this is one of the BEST TF molds I've messed with in the last year. He's stocky, but he's highly articulated and posable, he's got a great aesthetic in both modes, and he's reasonably proportioned. Plus he's covered in little nods to the original figure, if you look carefully enough. My ONLY complaint is that he's not bright fire engine red like the G1 and Henkei versions....considering he's, y'know... a fire engine and all. I snapped a few quick and dirty pics of his posability:
so I got a chance to take pics. this was done with a large shopping bag and a big hard bound book. and the one light in the ceiling of my room. plus a little level tweaking with photoshop 6.0
Got mine from hasbro toy shop. Dig the burgundy red, the only thing I don't like really is the clips the arms hold on in vehicle mode; as it can be difficult to dislodge in transformation. I'm troop building these. Best autobot mold in universe hands down.
Ohh ok I thought it was something in the figures mold that you didn't like. I being a avid Henkei hater is stubbornly starting to sway in my animosity toward them. It's going to start with this being that my pops is a Fire Fighter. I showed him the two different version and he also said the Henkei version is more realistic and accurate. In the 80's and early 90 a lot of Fire engines were Burgundy but when racing to a call people had a hard time spotting them and that's is why most engines now days are what is know as "Fire Engine Red" or Highlight yellow. I might pick up an extra one and repaint into Highlight Yellow and print out some labels with our city name and give it to him as a present.
i have said it before elsewhere at TFW; this mold has Prime written all over it. His stocky shape, his chest, he gives a feel of bulk and heft, he just looks and feels like he should weigh a ton. gonna have to grab him. he is awesome.
As soon as I get mine I'm gonna make sure I can find me an Energon Inferno.....but he's a great looking bot! He may be one of the last 2-3 transformers I get for a long while.
Yeah, I was being tricksy It's kinda hard to tell from all the flashbulbs, but he's really MUCH darker than the pictures make him out to be. He's actually a dark ketchup red. I can't wait to get the gleaming red Henkei version and see what he looks like alongside RID Prime... If you're seriously wanting to repaint one yellow, I would wait -- you KNOW they're going to repaint him as Grapple sooner or later. I would bet MONEY on it. Even if he's a dingy yellow or sand color, it would make for a better base color to paint yellow on top of, than this dark red...and if they go so far as to remold the arm weapon, it shouldn't a problem to swap the gun from an Inferno. Just my
