I am torn between Animated and Universe so I chose other. They are running neck and neck though. I love the personality of the animated line about as much as I love the nostalgia factor of Universe.

I love G1 and whenever I hear news of new reissues I'll pick them up. Those are what I grew up with and those reissues are why I've taken to collecting this stuff again. I started picking up Movie and Animated accidentally, but have grown to love Animated and I do like the Movie figures for display purposes (though if I were a kid I'd be disappointed with them because they'd be horrible to play with due to the length of time needed to transform them). Ultimately, any personal favorites depends on which mold I like or grow attached to (I'll always like G1 Prime but really like Movie Leader Prime; G1 Ratchet and Ironhide are still hokey even with the custom heads, Movie Ironhide was a pain in the ass to get right but Movie Ratchet is nifty; I loathe Animated Bumblebee and find G1 Bumblebee irrelevant but Movie Bumblebee is decent). Basically everything begins and ends with G1, but Movie and Animated are something I hold in high regard (plus Classics too).

My vote goes to Universe/ Classics. Animated is refreshing and new but nothing beats an update of the original. The movie is jsut bleh for me.

Voted G1, but I'm glad Animated is giving it a run for its money.

G1 is my favorite as I love the characters and toys, it's what I grew up with and will always have a special place. BW is a very close second with it's great characters, show and toys. These two lines are in a separate league for me, nothing else even comes close.

But Animated is definitely the best thing since BW in my book. It stands head and shoulders above everything that has come after the beast saga.

    for transformers toys?

i prefer the cybertron molds personally
then the classics, then animated, movie, beastwars/beastmachines, rid, and g1,

g1 is last to me because a lot of the toys, and even the classic characters, are just not as fun as what they are now.

I like the Animated/Movie designs because they're not boxy. I can't imagine a highly technologically advanced alien species being made up of simple geometrical shapes. I like the curves, the sleekness and continuity in the new designs in Animated and the Movieverse.

If Animated could be any better it should not simplify too much. More detail like in the fingers, neck etc.

I cannot vote because there is no 'all' category.

I'd prefer an 'I don't give a crap, I'll take anything' category, though.

I like Animated and Classics/Universe pretty much equally, in an "apples or oranges" kind of way. I don't think the Movie style is bad, but it's far from my favorite.

    G1.

I grew up with it. It's the original and the best. I just can't quite get my head around the differences in other series.

Having said that, I do actually think the movie was done quite well. Especially given all the constraints and compromises that come from dealing with Hollywood :p

I voted G1, but was thinking more of Alts and Classics/Universe, not the original.

The movie aesthetic isn't really my favorite. I like the realistic alt modes, but the clutter in robot mode and the jumbled head sculpts generally put me off. I like some of the toys a great deal, but on the whole, the line doesn't capture me. Automorph was a nice contribution to the brand and some of the transformations are undeniably neat. I'll buy a few from ROTF, but not many.

I really like Animated - haven't seen more than an hour at most of the show, but I liked what I saw. The toys have personality dripping off of them - the faces and shapes are very dynamic - no static, stiff poses from these guys. A few years ago I'd have eaten these up, but I'm much pickier in my buying these days. I still have a few and like them a lot - will get more too, but I am trying to only buy the best of the best. If money and space weren't a restraint, I'd buy the lot.

G1/Classics - I think G1 had a lot of the personality (in the cartoon) that Animated does, minus the sleek/heroic style. The designs were distinctive as were the voices. The updates capture some of this for me, so add in nostalgia, mostly real vehicles, fun transformations, and these nudge animated for first. I imagine kids in 20 years will think of animated in a similar light. For now though, g1 is it for me.

On a side note, BW holds a dear place in my heart too, but it is such a distinctly different line that it is hard to place it in a lineup of vehicular series - it is in a parallel path and very endearing, but the difference makes direct comparison hard.

Animated is great, Universe shows promise and Movie was pretty good as well.

When did that happen? Do you mean the image next to his bio?

Nothing beats G1, they were the precursors of many subsequent toy lines and we literally grown up by watching them

Animated deserve a huge vote from me, but after transforming and fiddling around with them, I realized that they lack a certain X factor in it. Not sure if I could be biased, but Animated to me, just has the "look good" factor, but not the "feel good" factor :)

I voted G1, but I collect and like from both the other lines as well. Not every figure is a hit and that fact is with all the lines. I tend to look for different things with each line as well. I'm really looking forward to any type of combiners for the movies. I look for nostalgia in G1, and I look for sheer fun in Animated.

Animated has a great style to it, with a lot of great transformation. It really shows that the designers put a lot of thought into it. (for example, Ultra Magnus!)

G1... as I see it, is 20+ years old technology in toy making. As such, when I was growing up in the 80's, this just some awesome stuff... but now seen as simple transformations.

The movie is just jumbled pieces to me. I only have Bumblebee and Baracade.
