No. As the snow is followed by rain, well freezing rain.

I drive a truck for a living. Tuesday I had a load out of St. Louis,MO going to Detroit, MI.
The snow and freezing rain had gotten so bad my wipers were frozen to the windshield so I pulled into a WalMart that I would have never stopped at.

Anyway I bought some deicer and decided to check the toy aisle. Found me an animated Shockwave. I thought it was funny how the horrible roads that stressed me out all day actually led to this awesome impromptu toy hunt.

The best surprises always happen to me that way. And glad to see you made it through the storm safely.

The only thing impeading my collecting is the slackers at TRU, Target and Walmart who refuse to keep the damn shelves stocked. Nothing more awesome then rows and rows of empty pegs during the holidays :/

Yeah I'm in NY as well, damn those roads were crappy today.:lol

Anyway, I buy most of my stuff online anymore, so no, it doesn't affect my shopping.

No, because it's Christmas time, so any collecting is presents for the 25th, and all my Christmas shopping has already been done ages ago. (thankfully, and now that teh break has hit, I can just stay in the house and not go outside)

Has the snow here in Seattle hurt my collecting?

No. BECAUSE THE AISLES ARE EMPTY ANYWAY.

But really, I just bought Astrotrain and Nemmy Prime from people here earlier today since I didn't have to go in to work (snow day at the Library), as well as a couple other figures. Tomorrow hopefully, I'll go out and finish up my Christmas shopping along with getting a money order to send for a Scrapper a la Cyb. Landmine.

Just the holidays stopped me so I could get presents for my family members. In terms of the winter storms, it has not stopped my holiday shopping one bit because I learned how to drive in the wintertime while I lived in Colorado.

I order online anyway, so foul weather rarely stops me.

Now, getting down that nasty hill to go to work to earn the money to pay for them, that's another thing entirely...

So today I've officially been slowed by the weather. Fedex tried to deliver my HTS order last night at 8:30PM. I had already given up waiting on them at 7, I had been home all day, and had left to go hunt for TF's and pick up my fiance from work. 8 friggin' 30....PM. What the hell?

Anyways... I pull up the tracking number today to see what's up and they have the next attempt at delivery listed for 8/23, which is Tuesday. That's right.. not Monday, oh no.. that'd be just too soon. Tuesday it is. I call them up, and since my package is in the "ground" shipping system, and they are closed today, I can't even go pick the damn thing up. ARGH! I hate Fedex. UPS is so much better. Those guys know how to use snow chains and aren't slowed down by a thin sheet of snow. Half the time the lazy Fedex guys don't even come to my door, they just go straight to the apartment offices and drop it off without putting a note or anything on my door.

At least last night they came directly to my door, athough it did me no good this time since they didn't actually deliver anything. I got a note at least. It had a little box checked requesting that I sign it and leave it on the door so they can just dump it on my steps if I am not home the next time they try to deliver. Yeah, that's why I have shit shipped to me... so I can have it left on the door where my neighbors can just walk up and jack it.....

FEDEX SUCKS!! Hell USPS is better then Fedex. They at least keep on fuckin' working when it snows an inch.

Sorry for the language. I was just REALLY looking forward to killing my Saturday watching Bowl games and opening new TF's while the lady is working all day.

To some idiots, around where I live, it's the scariest thing EVAR. So scary that they try to sneak around it in their huge-ass-trucks on the highway going 5mph. It also scares them out of the ability to recognize stop signs, stop lights, traffic lanes, other cars and pedestrians.

It snows here EVERY YEAR... yet for some reason, like clockwork, all the ******s forget how to drive in it and they either drive walking speed, or drive stupid speed. It's just pathetic. This town practically shuts down completely, and when something IS open everyone floods it like a bunch of morons because "OMG ITS OPEN TODAY!!". Mix in the nightmare shopping season for a real treat...ugh.

Nothing funner then following a big-ass penis-mobile going 5 mph on dry pavement only to get passed it and get buzzed by a BMW doing 60 or so with CHAINS on. How f'd up are these people? Did I just see an all wheel drive Subaru go past with chains on ? Yes... yes I did. Infact, all 4 wheels have chains on them. Some salesmen pulled a fast one on that idiot. For shame.
