That is pretty cool looking. If he can still pull off the same odd looking alt-mode, I might actually get him. Though if I do, I'll probably paint over the orange, that is if it's still annoying in-person. I honestly don't think he can, as it looks like some things were changed to the overal design that will stop him from doing that mode. Here's hoping they somehow get the origionaly planned design put into toy form and released eventually. Maybe in Universe once it comes back after its hiatus?

i think i've got him in that mode now. it actually locks together fairly well. the back legs don't stick up quite as far, and there's a bit more kibble in back, but it definitely looks like the sketch. i'm guessing that the original plan called for a swivel in his torso that would put that flap in the back underneath him to make a ramp, which would also allow the arm piece to fold down. those 2 bits of kibble are the only things unaccounted for in the sketch, so that makes the most sense to me.

That artwork looks super bad-ass. Too bad the toy can't pull that off even remotely.

Are people seeing the same image as I am? It's just... well, you're gonna laugh at this. I'm seeing an image of a walking tank. Yeah, I know, it's crazy and terrible at the same time.

That's actually close enough for me. This guy is definitely going onto my to-get list. It's a good thing he's a peg warmer at my local Target. Shouldn't be too hard for me to get one of him. Now I can have Galvatron, the transforming robo-turtle in my collection :D

    Yeesh...

    the past:
    Q. Universe Galvatron looks a little complex for a deluxe. Was that toy planned to be a larger size class originally?

    A. No, not really, We would have liked to have made it a bigger toy though.

    the now:
    Q. Why does Galvatron have those extra little feet?

    A. Those are from the early stages of the design, where the toy was going to be a larger size class and a triple changer.

    The future?:
    Q. Remember when you said Galvatron was originally going to be a bigger toy? Well...

    A. Nah, I never said anything like that. you were probably high or something. ;)

    Toma,

I'd post pics but my camera is broke so I'll do my best to describe this:

You can actually get the back legs into a more arachnid look if you follow the sketch that shows what it looks like from the front. I had to rotate the waist around so that when the feet rotate to stand flush with the ground and they aren't being hindered by the side panel (basically his legs should be the same orientation from the front in the walking tank mode as they are in bot mode). The lower part of the legs (below the knee where they rotate again) will need to rotate toward the front slightly and the feet will then rotate down about 45 degrees to sit flush with the ground.

play with the rear legs a bit and you will find you can achieve the almost exact same pose from the sketch as far as the legs are concerned. I think it looks decent when you finally do.

    Damn I need a new camera:mad

The walking tank mode seems a bit weak to me. Interesting though.

Those forms reminds me of those Star Wars clone vehicles in Episode 2.

I really wish they would have released Galvatron as a larger class fig. A leader class Galvatron would have been amazing.
