    Classic's Fillers

I am hoping to get a fellow fan's opinion on what would be good fillers for the Classic's Universe line of figure.

For Example: Energon Downshift as Wheeljack, or Energon Scorponok as Classics Scorponok.

I ask for the reason that I am planning on making a web comic using the Classics Universe line of figures. And since its the winter season I have plenty of time to prepare, write, and learn how to use my camera :lol  Ive come across a few myself with the help of a little Kitbashing and Repainting.

    Cybertron Override= Classics Blur
Energon Megatron = Classic Galvatron( a la Jin based customizing)

If you have any ideas please post them. This could not only help just me but also give others an idea of how to beef up their Classics displays.

    Awesome topic.

Shroobmaster is using Cybertron Leader Metroplex as Metroplex and I like it. It's going on my list.

I was thinking of using Energon Swoop to be Swoop as a companion Dinobot to Grimlock.

I might use Cybertron Blurr as Blurr.

I use Titanium Scourge for Scourge, which is a no-brainer. I want to get a few more for 'Sweeps', then clean up the paint on the face of one of them to differentiate Scourge.

I'm using a G1 Laserbeak, Rumble, and Frenzy with Music Label Soundwave. I'll use G1 missiles on the Hound Ravage.

I've seen Cybertron Downshift used for Wheeljack and feel he's more in scale with the others that way.

Fracture and Crankcase are part of my classics now, along with Big daddy

Shattered Glass Jazz is awesome, just a bit ridiculous on the cost side.

If you are planning on any legends figures in the comic (little guys are epic lulz) look into the Micromaster Constructicons, Protectobots and Aerialbots. Nice cheap army building.

How do the Animated Dinobots look with the rest of the Classics line? I have given it thought, but thought it would just be better to use any of the possible Grimlocks, Energon Swoop (which was intended for Classics, or so I've read), and wait for something else to fill in Sludge, Slag, or Sludge.

They look a little rounded and simplistic, but that kind of fits their sub-species.

Supposedly intended for the original Universe line, would have been the first original molds for it.

I use BM Dinobot Terranotron for Classics Swoop

    Oh, thanks for the correction.

I've seen some people use the G1 Painted Movie Jazz for Classics Jazz, also. I'm not a fan, but it works for some people.

The only one that I think successfully matches the Classics/Universe aesthetic is Music Label Soundwave. I don't think any of the A/E/C molds look right at all, not even the repainted ones officially released under the C/U moniker.

    But that's just me.

As Foster said they are kinda simplistic but i think they look ok. Grimlock especially imo looks much better than the Classics/Henkei version.

I use a lot of the ones already suggested, I think - like Cybertron Smokescreen as his G1 namesake or Cybertron Swerve as Windcharger.

I use Cybertron Runamuck and Universe Treadshot as Runamuck and Runabout.

Eww, RM seekers. And Animated Blurr looks more like a Classic than Cybertron Override, but whatever works for you.

As a nicer-looking alternative to Energon Scorponok, I've always been partial to Dark Scorponok, which could easily be a Classics Black Zarak. Makes me wish I'd picked that figure up though. :(
