He might in photos but he's more of a blue and grey in person, as opposed to black. It never worked for me.

Considering the fact that the only Classics seeker I have is Skywarp from the UM two-pack, I have Energon "Energon" Starscream and Cybertron Thundercracker to fill in the blanks as I'm not interested in multiples of the same mold.

Might sound odd to some but works for me! :thumbs2:

I dunno, I did see him in person before and it always seemed suitably black enough to me. Of course, it's not like I can look at my shelf* and check right now to be sure.

God I wish I had an Animated Blur. But until then and to battle the winter doldrums I'm repainting Override to be a more IDW Blur when pics and the figure are side by side the resemblance is too good to pass up.

And a Dark Scorponok would have been my first choice for repaints since most of it is a darker blue or black. But I snagged the regular one off the boards for $5 too good to pass.

Anyone think of a good one for a Kup, I browsing through the scout classes even looking ofr a respectable replacement.

Only plans I have for any Classics fill-in is the ML Soundwave. Trying to look for a G1 Laserbeak that isn't a $30 dent in my wallet too, but that's kind of hard.

Brakedown GTS is reminiscent of War Within Kup's altmode and the G1 kup toy's deco, i think.

Took your advice and did a search and came up with a pretty sweet website. Transformers “Pseudo Classics” Lameazoid.com

What's even funnier is that just a few weeks ago I got a Breakdown from our local Family Dollar store he was repackaged in the old Universe packaging.

I now have to pick up a Energon Bulkhead to repaint into Springer. Instead of a tank mode I will just use the backpack/arms as and upgrade unit of sorts.

    - Titaniaum Thundercracker for Thundercracker, but if you have the cash to spare, either the Henkei or Timelines, depending of preference
    -Energon Shockblast for Shockwave
    -Animate Soundwave for Soundwave

Aside from the already mentioned Energon figures, I can not help but be bothered with any of the Cybertron figures to used as Classics fillers. This is only because of the stoopid key gimmick. Stands out like a sore thumb to me, sadly. Otherwise, they'd fit in almost perfectly.

Music Label Soundwave is a perfect substitute.
Titanium Scourge is also a perfect substitute.
And, personally (I know it is a stretch), I use Titanium RiD Prime as Inferno.

Music Label Soundwave is far superior to that piece of crap Titanium Soundwave.

I'd buy evey one of those toys if they were filler except the titaniums, swap those out with Energon Rodimus and The Fallen. If that happened that would be the best wave yet IMO

I think out of those, Blurr, Downshift, and maybe Scourge (even though the toy isn't really so great) are good enough to be *the* Classic versions, but I'd rather have new versions of the others - and hell, those three too.

You forgot to include Animated Snarl and Swoop as Classics Dinobots.
