Any chance of another Alternators line?

I really like the quality of the Alternators line of transformers. Anyone know if there's a chance of another line like it?

Probably not; it wound up being too difficult to secure rights from car companies.

Hasbro indicated that there would be no more figures in the Alternators line and no plans of developing a new Alternators line. It was probably very tough to secure the licenses from the car manufacturers. In terms of Takara, they released 4 in the Binaltech line but that might have been the last of it. But in a few months, they have Alternity line, which the scale of the car molds are smaller than the ones used in the Alt/BT line.

I'd say the best we can hope for at the moment is a few sporadic convention-exclusive Alternator repaints. Hasbro currently has no plans to bring over Alternity, which would be the next closest thing.

Sure wish there was a sustainable market for Alts. I miss them!

Random thought of the night:

I always thought the Alternators could've been a cool "gateway series" for other alternate modes with the same detail. Imagine the same ingenuity and engineering team, but with tanks, jets, and non-licensed cars.

Think of a WW2-model F4U Corsair with Alternator-like engineering. Or an "Alternator" Lockdown that transforms like our current version but with opening doors, seats, etc.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's impossible, but it's impossible.

i like the idea of new vehicles! when was that nissan gt-r one supposed to come out, i remember seeing pictures of that around somewhere? maybe im crazy. i wish they'd bring back a few more waves, but im not too hopeful of it. id certainly buy the majority of them as i liked the designs of the majority of the figures they made thus far.

You must be imagining things. There is no such thing, and nobody knows about it.

Seriously.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

I don't think Hasbro has flat out said they would never bring back Alternators, but stated they have no plans to do it in the future. Will they make them again? Maybe, but very unlikely.
