It was probably very tough to secure the licenses from the car manufacturers. In terms of Takara, they released 4 in the Binaltech line but that might have been the last of it. But in a few months, they have Alternity line, which the scale of the car molds are smaller than the ones used in the Alt/BT line. Hasbro currently has no plans to bring over Alternity, which would be the next closest thing.
Sure wish there was a sustainable market for Alts. I miss them! | |

I always thought the Alternators could've been a cool "gateway series" for other alternate modes with the same detail. Imagine the same ingenuity and engineering team, but with tanks, jets, and non-licensed cars.
Think of a WW2-model F4U Corsair with Alternator-like engineering. Or an "Alternator" Lockdown that transforms like our current version but with opening doors, seats, etc.
