im cool with it as long as we get more G1s then other lines. as i feel the same way you do Bathawk. as the classics is what got me back in to TF agin.

 

I'm glad there's variety. If it was nothing but G1 it'd be boring, because even though I love G1, it can get really old really quick. Other than the movie, it gets a lot of attention as it is. Or, rather, give G1 characters that have shit for toys and give them some love! I'm looking at you, Wheeljack!

I want to see some more BW, BM, RiD- and I don't want them just Robot Heroed to hell. (I love RH, but still.)

 

i don't understand the dislike for Unicron Trilogy nods. sure, they're fairly recent, but it's cool of Hasbro to be reaching out to various eras in the 25 years [84-91: the Epic Origins and onward] -- because it IS more than G1, and it's more than G1 and the Beast Era. that's the point of celebrating the full 25 year anniversary.

definitely agreed. while i'm passing on the figure due to size/space issues, i'm thrilled to see something like [RiD nod] Predacon Bruticus out of Cyb Scourge. i would've also liked a full-sized Hun-Gurrr, but this is just as much awesome in a different direction.

 

The from other generations the better I say.

 

It's fine with me that other TF lines are coming out of Universe. I will not buy them but for fans of that series will enjoy it. As far as I am concerned I still have Masterpieces & Diamond busts to collect. The best part of the Universe line is Henkei to me due to the old school paint jobs.

 

I think we will also see a straight repaint of Ironhide as Skids.

 

I much rather see the G1 remakes, but thats just me.

 

I suddenly had this vision of some 10-12 year old kid in a toy store going "OMG they made a new HOT SHOT! He was my favorite when I was younger! Now if they'd just make a new Optimus Prime toy without those stupid big windows on its chest."  

 

At first I found it ridculous other franchises are getting in here but thought about it its all about giving characters better treatment then there originally toys.

I don't mind it, but they could have done a G1 Wheeljack in place of the Hot Shot we're getting.

 

I don't mind non-G1 remakes being incorporated into Universe 2.0, especially older lines like G2 or Beast Wars. That doesn't mean I'll necessarily buy them though, just that I don't object.
