The swords;

(Left; Black Convoy, right; Scourge)

I think Black Convoy is slightly cheaper and much easier to come by? As for as I am aware of their quality is the same.
Good luck and hope you'll join the club soon

The pictures showed it best. They are mostly the same except:

Clear parts on B.C. are pinkish, Scourge is a deeper red

B.C. has foil stickers with flipped G2 Bot symbol, Scourge has paper stickers with G1 Decepticon symbols (and tampoed on doors of truck.)

B.C. has G2 Autobot logos molded on shooting discs (holdover from G2 Optimus), Scourge has the logo removed (and sword tip is more blunt.)

I think that's most of it.

How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end

there was somewhere on the internet listing that earlier runs of the RID scourge had the G2 upside down autobot symbol on scourge but i have yet to have seen a picture of one...

How about the Korean release? I assume it's the same as Black Convoy, no?

I've got Scourge and there's no problem with material quality at all. Seven years later and no sign of aging or any kind of wear on the stickers, chrome on the trailer is perfect...

While I prefer the deeper red of Scourge, I've had a fondness for the Combatron insignia. Mostly just that I love the G2 logos, but y'know... Anyway, far as I've ever been aware the difference between Black Convoy and Scourge is just personal preference. Just be aware, I'm pretty sure the Korean version uses the Hasbro modified toolings, with the rounded sword tip, and blanked discs. Don't remember which set of stickers it used.
