The other day I recieved what I thought was junk mail. It was one of those $10 off cards that you recieve in the mail from a retail outlet. (In this case it was Kohls.) People usually ignore these when they get them because usually there's some kind of catch or gimmick associated with it. I.E. you have to buy XX amount of dollars worth of merchandise before the $10 off kicks in. Well I happened to peel the card off the backing it came on and I read the fine print. It said: "Offer valid on minimum $10 purchase." So I thought to myself "If I go into Kohls and buy something for $10 bucks all I have to do is pay tax. OR if I go into Kohls I can use this card and get a TF for a couple of dollars with this $10 off." So, I go into Kohls and I head to the TF section and I find Animated Swoop. Then I look at one of their sale signs and it says that action figures were on sale for 20% off. Animated Swoop was $10.39 on sale. I got up to the register and used the card......I got Swoop for only 39 cents because I was in Delaware at the time and there was no sales tax. Times have been tough lately and I'm sure alot of you have seen my other thread. I'm done with TF collecting for a while because of issues I'm having but, what a way to go out with a bang!! My last TF for a while was only 39 cents!! It put a smile on my face when I really needed it. Obviously, my wife and two girls make me smile but, this was icing on the cake. What do you think? Did anyone else recieve this piece of "junk mail"? What is the best deal you ever got on a TF? This one has to be mine!! I believe in God and I honestly believe that someone up there was trying to make me feel better!! THANKS for posting!!
those kohls $10 off appear about twice a year in the mail, once i bought a TF and the other time a T shirt. Im a horrid customer, i suspect kohls thought i'd run in there and buy a whole load of other things too but alas if i need dog biscuits i run into target (or wherever) and come out with just dog biscuits....
Don't give up on TFs just yet, then. You might find another deal like this again! Congrats on the pickup, you deserve it
I don't get Kohl's coupons in the mail, but I do get some from this "Bed, Bath, and Beyond" place. I don't suppose they sell TFs or GI Joes there. . .
That's a damn good deal! Congrats. I'll have to ask the Mother-in-Law if she got any Kohl's coupons. She's always looking for TF stuff for me at garage sales and whatnot, so I'm sure she'd be willing to part with a coupon she'll probably never use to "help my cause" .
weird thing at kohls is that toys are usually marked up a few $$ eg deluxes at $12.99 last year but they always seem to be on some type of sale/promo so that when you buy one (or two if its a buy one get one half off) you end up paying a little bit less than normal retail!!
