He's got an excellent robot mode... almost better than the Voyager version imo. Unfortunately, his truck mode is not so good.

Yeah, he's great in bot mode, not so great as a truck. Overall I recommend him though, just wish he came with an axe.

What they said about the alt mode. It's odd looking, to say the least.

The only complaint about robot mode is that there are tabs on his feet used to hold the legs together in alt mode that are friggin' huge, and look awkward in bot mode.

Easy fix, I guess.

like others said, nice robot mode, lackluster truck mode. Personally, I don't find it to be a very good 'activator', because there's a lot of work (over and above hitting the button) involved getting between modes compared to Starscream or Bumblebee.

How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end

The only problem I have is getting the hitch to lock and the grill lined up so the vehicle actually rolls.

Once you do that though its not a bad representation of primes truck mode. It activates fine. Wish they would use more buttons like bumblebee/starscream and less of the latches ratchet, prime, and lockdown use in future designs.

Get it! If only so you have a prime to fight activator megatron.

If these things were 5$ bucks, I'd hit it. But as is at 8.99.... why not just spend the extra money for the real ones and get less kibble, more detail and better joints.

I'm with you. Deluxes are actually cheaper than activators at walmart, But if your in my position where you already own all the available deluxes then its reasonable to pick up these basics for fun (especially bumblebee)
