ok what is in wave 4 as BBTS has hound and smokescreen also in wave 5 so where dose that leave hotshot ?

I would think that wave 5 would also include Hot Shot.

 

I'm not a club member and don't have the mag: Was Hotshot announced as a wave 5 toy ? If not then it probably leaves him in the next wave maybe keeping Ratchet company.

 

As far as I've heard *ahem*, Host Shot is listed as 2009 wave 3, whereas Smokescreen and Dinobot are wave 2.

 

Yes, the image of Hot Shot in the magazine is listed as Wave 3. I've updated our resources page with the wave details for all the Universe Deluxes and Legends based on the magazine.

Basically:

25th Wave 1 - Hound, Cyclonus, Starscream, Cheetor
25th Wave 2 - Dinobot, Smokescreen
25th Wave 3 - Hot Shot


Ratchet is still unaccounted for. In the magazine, they interview Bill Rawley and he mentions every toy is designed with a repaint in mind (and a new head), with the exception of Cyclonus who might get a "themed" repaint instead.

Logically, that means in future, we might see Swindle out of Hound, Tigatron out of Cheetor, Grimlock out of Dinobot, and I'd imagine Powerlinx Hot Shot from Hot Shot, unless something truly crazy turns that on its head and we get a totally different character like Runamuck.

 

Oh Yeah Swindle from hound'd be great........yeah!

and Ravage can be repainted into Steeljaw

 

Yeah, this also pretty much confirms that they're just waiting to get Animated Ratchet off the store shelves before they put Universe Ratchet into a wave (besides the fact that we've already seen the remolds from the leaked shots of Takara's Henkei version of Ratchet... new head and sirens...). So, it's pretty much just a questions of how long they're going to wait really. Though, I could see him being one of the other figures in Wave 3 with Hot Shot.

 

I can't wait for Ratchet. If he looks good I will ditch my Henkei preorder. Swindle would also be a great choice.

As much as I like swindle and the hound mold. Other than the alt mode they have no similiarities. Rollbar on the other hand I'd love to see from hound. Ah well, if it is swindle, I'll just get the animated one only.

 

Which Hot Shot are we talking? Armada look or Energon, Cybertron?

 

What about with a different headmold? A different headmold for Swindle would be awesome. I don't want the Animated stuff so hopefully they do something like this.

 

What is this Dinobot you all speak of?! I know they announced it at BOTCON, but there hasn't been any pictures has there??

 

My guess would be that the Dinobot will be from the Beast Wars Dinobot mold.
